Metallica
Metallicaa good metal album that sets the stage for a lot of bad metal albums.

it was fine. storytelling was there but it just doesn’t do anything for me
idk if it’s just their influence, but this just felt like 60s pop songs. i get that it’s the beatles, but this is the first time i’ve actually fully listened through an entire beatles album and it was fine, but it didn’t blow my mind the way i expected it to
This album is such a breath of fresh air. this is the first album on this list that i’ve had literally no preconceived notions about, and am pleasantly surprised. i hear so many bands that i listen to in here, yet i’ve never heard of this band that’s been doing it longer than anyone else, basically. i hear the cars. i hear modest mouse. i hear the cure. feels like the rosetta stone for 50 years of post punk and emo and that whole side of alternative music. i get why his voice could be off putting for people, but as an avid consumer of emo it didn’t grind on me that badly
very boring album that feels like it missed the boat on this sound. don’t get why it’s on the list tbh
very lush album. i would do anything sade told me to no questions asked
sounds like if Devo and the Talking Heads had a baby that spent too much time in the birth canal. maybe a bit harsh, but again this album just feels like one that came out when the artist was experiencing his musical awakening so it’s on the list solely because he really likes it
idk just feels derivative of like the beatles and the doors. don’t really do anything new/groundbreaking and just was an album i made it through
good goth music. funky bass lines
back when woke meant something more than “liberal idea that i don’t like” good album
the birth of a whole wave of modern alternative, made especially impressive by the fact that Grohl played all of the instruments on this album. Hard to believe it’s already 30 yrs. old. first album on the list where i’ve already heard all the songs
great pop album from a moment in time we may never see again. everyone is tight and knows their assignment so many hits on this album, i never knew they were all from one project.
I’ve heard of Simz before, but only knew the song 101 FM off this project. One of my favorite UK rap songs, but never felt compelled to explore her whole discography. the dude in the reviews getting mad over hearing the n word needs to grow up. This tape is phenomenal, trim [unlike so many rap projects (especially in the streaming era)], and the production is very clean. nothing is muddy or overblown. a fun album that doesn’t overstay its welcome
it’s not a bad album. very tight album where everyone does their part. it’s just so boring in my opinion.
good album
