1001 Albums Summary

The first time I listen to a whole Black Sabbath album, sometimes it feels like you can hear the coked up energy through the tunes. Favorite song of the album is definitely Laguna Sunrise and Supernaut. FX was incredibly rogue though, I thought my headphones stopped working for that track.

I've been listening to Joey Valence & Brae, and now I can see that they must be pretty influenced by the Beastie Boys, they've got the same vibe. I don't think all their songs have aged super well, but I guess they're hip hop essentials.

I had never heard of this album or this artist before, and initially I appreciated it for what it was - a nice jazzy piano album. But after hearing the story behind it and realizing it was entirely improvised? Definitely worth listening to!

It's classic southern rock, and the album has some great tracks- Tuesday's Gone, Gimme Three Steps, Free Bird. But hard to ignore the band's history and the confederate flag debacle.

Mm, I don't know, I feel like I should have enjoyed this album- it's that pop-indie vibe that should have been easy to listen to, but it was just fairly meh. I didn't grow up with this album to be fair, so maybe that's part of it.

Some great beats, but god some of the lyrics in this album sound like they're written by a 12 year old.
