I don’t know what I thought this album was gonna sound like but I don’t think it was this It’s got some jams on it but also some duds I need to listen to the full bsides to really get what he doing Honey was fire tho
I get why Dre is really just a producer cause the production in the album fucks so much, unfortunately the verses largely aren’t my favorite
I liked this more than I expected being that it’s a white British woman doing American traditional/soul stuff Son of a Preacher man hits as always and The windmills of your mind is such a specific vibes that goes absolutely crazy
I’ve never really been a fan of this type of rock instrumentation and this while having a little Latin swing its just jazz if it was annoying guitar solo after guitar solo Not my favorite thing
There’s a reason this is a classic. It’s rough it’s raw and it’s real.
I was promised big things by the first two songs in this album but sadly it didn’t live up Life’s a gas slaps tho
I went through a whole rollercoaster of reactions to this album I thought it was boring, I thought Jonathan Richmans voice was really annoying, I thought it was kinda groovy. And the extremes cancel out to make me think it’s just interesting and an experiment with a new sound that’s maybe not always for me
An absolute chill vibe To me this is Micheal Jackson if he went soul instead of pop which would’ve been awesome
While this did hit it didn’t hit as hard as I excepted, I think a future listen may bring it to a 4 it’s not there for me yet
I’ve never really been a fan of The Beach Boys, the instrumentation is good in this album but I just can’t get in to the lyrics, they are often a bit to in the nose
First, I don’t really like Metallica’s whole thing, second I don’t think the facts it’s a live album help my enjoyment any, third it was probably awesome to see live but over two hours of Metallica just in the ears is too much
An amazing example of the wutang style and it’s an absolute jam, a couple tracks try a palette im not the biggest fan of but still a great album
Not groundbreaking but enjoyable, it’s got some nice ballads but it’s also got some what could be parody of the genre songs that I can’t help but laugh during
My thoughts are about the same as the first time I listened to this. The hits hit but I like their post-rock/more experimental stuff rather than their more straight forward rock
This one was about 50/50 for me. I liked the more blues tinted stuff than the rest
I really wanted to like this especially with the interesting experimental stuff in the latter half of the album but fuck I did not. I already didn’t like this style of riff heavy rock and this did not help. Also 1 hour is too long
A relisten: Lots of album I like to share with the world to make them love it but I want this one all to myself. This is my comfort music
There was a lot of idea here that Freddie had and most of them don’t work
