I Am a Bird Now by Antony and the Johnsons
Aug 12 2025

Reminiscent of Tiny Tim tiptoeing through the tulips. Depressing on all fronts. Not my cup of tea. While I can appreciate the pain the singer must feel - it unfortunately made it a painful listen as well.

Seventeen Seconds by The Cure
Aug 13 2025

Can definitely see the influence this album has on the rest of the 80s. The more upbeat songs stand out - Play for Today is particularly a favorite. Solid but not my cup of tea.

Hot Buttered Soul by Isaac Hayes
Aug 14 2025

Only 4 songs - but don't let that fool you. They are long. A little psychedelic funk in some of them - which is enjoyable. Isaac Hayes voice is deep and smooth. I would imagine he has better works.

Smash by The Offspring
Aug 15 2025

Wow - make me a 15 year old boy again! This album is fun from start to finish. Now it’s not anything that I would throw in a rotation of must listen to’s but I can see why any teenager at the time played it loud.

90 by 808 State
Aug 21 2025

Early techno music reminiscent of Miami Vice.

If You're Feeling Sinister by Belle & Sebastian
Aug 27 2025

If I didn’t know any better I would think it was the Kinks with just slightly less energy. Not a bad listen.

Scott 4 by Scott Walker
Aug 29 2025

Interesting for sure. It almost sounds like a fake album in the sense that it’s trying to hard to be a period piece. This album is not something I would listen to again

Machine Head by Deep Purple
Sep 03 2025

Suberb. Just a fantastic iconic sound. It’s the sound of rock n roll in its best form from the 70s.

xx by The xx
Sep 08 2025

Cool music to listen to. Nice to just have on in the background.

Get Behind Me Satan by The White Stripes
Sep 18 2025

A few okay songs. But as an album, I can’t think of what setting you would play this. It’s not good for a party. It’s not good for the car. It just doesn’t have a home.

At Budokan by Cheap Trick
Sep 19 2025

Great live album. Done very well.

The Velvet Underground & Nico by The Velvet Underground
Oct 02 2025

Meh. A little Bob Dylan-esque. Not terrible but not something I would play again.

The Chronic by Dr. Dre
Oct 03 2025

Iconic album of the 90s.

Dire Straits by Dire Straits
Oct 22 2025

Classic cool riff album. Clearly know who you are listening to when you put this on.

Led Zeppelin III by Led Zeppelin
Nov 13 2025

Classic. Tangerine is my favorite song
