Exile In Guyville
Liz Phair2] Feminism, horrible vocals or plain out talking (Like modern lovers). Some melodies were nice, but bad lyrics killed it. +Mesmerizing +Glory

Decent background of artsy rock music. No song stuck in mind. Didn't finish the whole album
Old soul/funk, easy listen, social statements about racism. However, extensive intrumental interludes bloats the playlist, especially at the end. Good window in contemporary's feelings and worldview, but hardly holds up in 2020s. +Somebody's watching you +Everyday people
Good soul album, soundrack for movie. Good vocals. However, the songs are too long and as a whole is bloated with alternative versions as usual in soundtracks. +Freddie's dead
Electronic, drum n bass pioneers. Interesting addition in african drums, overall good instrumentals. Good ideas but hardly a daily listen, would greatly benefit from vocals, 2020s rap? Didn't listen to the whole tracklist. +Heroes
Good energetic rock album, easy listen. Might not be very extraordinary, but not in the bad way. +I will dare +Androgynous
Good soul / rock n roll album. Pleasant listen all throughout. However, includes some bloated songs without significant change of pace, melody or style. +Mannish boy
Listened before. Practically every song is iconic, sincere, but not forced. Beautifully combined conversation snippets. Surprisingly good instrumentals compared to peers (producer?). However, some snippets overstay their welcome, song becomes chaotic. + So Many Tears + Temptations + Dear Mama
Lame r and b.
Hard rock album. Instrumental interludes are taking away from the songs (older trend). A try of reviving punk scene, for me - unsuccessful.
Suprisingly amazing combination of indie rock and electronic music. While album includes alternate versions of 4 songs, their accoustic nature amplifies soft vocals to the point where they are better compared to original versions. While rating it 4 would be logical, since I see little chance of relistening the whole project, it includes Head Will Rolls - it's a 5. +Heads will roll +Soft shock (acoustic)
Beautifully combined soul and pop in final songwriter's album. Stunning vocals and troubled lyrics. However album is inconsistent in its quality (deluxe version), shorter project would have improved listening. Some melodies are very quirky, while others are complementary, letting vocals shine. +Rehab +Back to black +Valerie
