1001 Albums Summary

I'm not a huge hip-hop guy but Ms. Dynamite's sound had some serious range. The beats were solid.

What a terrific album. I need to spend more time with these guys.

Good stuff, just not exactly my jam.

I'm sure it's excellent, but the blues all sounds basically the same to me.

Solid punk rock. Iggy's not a top 20 artist for me but probably top 100, and his work with the Stooges can be heard through the decades in countless other acts. Love this.

Ten years ago I might have listened to this, seeking to understand the genius behind it. Today I find it not really noteworthy, not really outside the zeitgeist of its time. Mere mortals, all of us.

I did not enjoy. Another that was musically interesting but not something I enjoyed at all. Skipped through the album. Felt like easy listening music.

What a lovely visit to the lands of disco. How can you not love ABBA?

I really enjoy the B-52's, and this was a delightful listen. I'm starting to hate that there are only 5 stars on this rating scale and I'm going to have to start assigning a meaning to each star because this isn't an album I already have or will add into my standard rotation, but I definitely would not mind a few of these songs popping up in my playlists.

Fair but straightforward. Wouldn't turn it off but it doesn't turn me on.

I like Simon & Garfunkel quite a bit, and this album was a pleasant listen. Many of the songs, I knew and loved.

Only got part way through. It's fine. Can kinda hear the 60s folk influence. Nice riff on Aqualung itself.

I was really not in the right space to appreciate this album, but I'm not a big fan of reggae at my best. More than a song or two and I need something different.

Love this album. Nirvana changed post punk to mainstream, something I will never forgive them for, but that could not have happened if they weren't so damn good.

I'm not even sure if I've ever heard of these guys but wow what a glorious surprise. Seems like something I need to get a little more familiar with.
