Basement JaxxThis music reminds me of being in places I don’t want to be in (mainly clubs). There’s a few decent tracks but it all feels too generic to be noteworthy at all. Jump ‘N Shout was pretty good though, the one diamond in the rough.

Some good songs on there. Instrumentals were cool. Last half of the album wasn’t as good.
I do not listen to much punk rock but I enjoyed this album. I can see this would appeal to those who are fans of this genre. This album has some strong songs, but the rest of the album was good, buy nothing special. No bad songs just nothing else that knocked my socks off. Very close to a 4 but some more noteworthy songs could have brought it to a 4. Definitely peaked my interest in Green Day.
This is the second punk album I’ve gotten and I enjoyed it much more than Dookie. The guitar riffs were far better and the songs were stronger. The album kept me going right up until the end, and I can see how someone who is much more into punk than me would put this among their favourite albums.
I haven’t really listened to The Kinks very much but this was an extremely good introduction to them. Reminds me of The Beatles quite a bit. Every song was written very well, you can feel the quality of work put into every song when you listen to them. Definitely gonna listen to this album again soon.
It’s hard to beat CCR, this album has so many classics and hits that I just have to give it a 5. There’s not much else I can say about a classic album like this. CCR just knew how to make good music, and they just happened to make ALOT of good music when making this album.
This album was pretty mid. There were a few chiller songs at the start that were decent, but the others just were not that good, and there was so much random noise throughout the songs that just did not work. It felt like listening to a really mid David Bowie album.
There really were not any songs on here I would ever go back and listen to, I probably won’t ever listen to this artist again unless I’m forced to on this website. Some of the orchestral parts were quite good, but that was really the only diamond in the rough for this album. It was just too grand and corny for my liking, and some of the lyrics were quite bad, like in “I’d Like That” it has a lyric that goes: “Really high, really high like a really high thing.” Like a really high thing might be the worst lyric I’ve ever heard. Thank god I never have to listen to this album again.
Must have been pretty crazy to listen to this in 1979 for the first time, riffs were heavy, and their drummer is absolutely fantastic, he’s very unique and adds so much the songs. Some of the songs were kinda groovy like Evil Woman and Wicked World which I liked. Definitely enjoyed this a lot more than heavy bands that came after them, every song was good.
I was expecting the audio quality to sound like it was recorded in a garbage can being rolled down a hill, but the quality was pristine. These compositions are very well put together, everyone in this group is clearly world class, and Take Five was extremely good.
Feel like I just got fucked by Prince. Album was good though, very good songs like 1999 and Little Red Corvette. I would have given it 5 stars, but was not a huge fan of Prince moaning in my ear.
Cinnamon Girl is a classic, all around good album.
The second half of the album is definitely stronger, the first half wasn’t really that good but the rest I actually enjoyed quite a bit. The instruments were very pleasant to listen to in the second half, and I would have considered giving it a 4 if the first half was stronger.
