Popular Reviews

White Blood Cells by The White Stripes

Ok, I would have absolutely loved this in my early 20s so it's a shame I didn't get to enjoy it then. The only thing I knew from the band was "I just don't know what to do with myself", so this was unexpected. Really, really enjoyed it!

Rubber Soul by Beatles
Aug 29 2025

Easy 5. Got lucky that this was my first album in the project, great start

Diamond Life by Sade
Sep 01 2025

Did not expect to like it as much as I did

Abattoir Blues / The Lyre of Orpheus by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Sep 02 2025

It took me days to finish listening to this one. It has some good songs, but overall it depressed me. Don't want to repeat the experience

Meat Is Murder by The Smiths
Sep 08 2025

Quite annoying but not entirely bad. There are a couple of songs that I kinda liked, but I don't plan on listening to this album ever again

L.A. Woman by The Doors
Sep 09 2025

Great album. The first half is especially good

Rage Against The Machine by Rage Against The Machine
Sep 10 2025

Not my style, but I get why it's here. Interesting experience listening to it

Rock 'N Soul by Solomon Burke
Sep 11 2025

Impossible not to love it. Great energy, voice, and rhythm

Africa Brasil by Jorge Ben Jor
Sep 23 2025

I cannot love this more. Love the energy, the vocals, the instruments. Will definitely listen to it many more times

Blonde On Blonde by Bob Dylan
Sep 24 2025

Really, really good. I really love the whole vibe of this album. The melodies are great. Not a 5 because it does get a little repetitive

Tommy by The Who
Sep 25 2025

Starts good, then it gets tiring. Worth it listening to it at least once

Dub Housing by Pere Ubu
Sep 26 2025

So annoying. Instrumentally speaking, there are a few parts that I like, but it is completely ruined by vocals

Synchronicity by The Police
Sep 29 2025

I liked it more than I expected to, specially considering how much I disliked the first track. The rest of the album was mostly a nice surprise

Be by Common
Sep 30 2025

I don't think I'd ever get to this album on my own, so I'm really glad this project gave me the opportunity to listen to it. Great, great!

Wild Gift by X
Oct 01 2025

Not horrible, but a hard listen. Didn't like the vocals at all

Music for the Masses by Depeche Mode
Oct 02 2025

This felt so dated, and not in a good way. It wasn't an easy experience trying to finish it

Jazz Samba by Stan Getz
Oct 03 2025

I mean, what's not to like? Great ambient music. Not a 5 because I'd rather listen to actual Brazilian bossa nova, preferably with vocals

Back In Black by AC/DC
Oct 06 2025

Not my style, but it's fun. Glad I listened to it

Paul Simon by Paul Simon
Oct 07 2025

So good. Listened to it when having a bad day and it just made it much better. Honestly made me feel that living is worth it

Green by R.E.M.
Oct 08 2025

This would be a 3.5 for me, but I'll round it down because I wouldn't necessarily want to listen to the whole album again. There are some good songs though

Isn't Anything by My Bloody Valentine
Oct 09 2025

So. much. NOISE. I really disliked this one. The vocals are okay, but everything else is annoying. Somehow, a similar experience I had when listening to Dub Housing by Pere Ubu. Not-the-worst-song award goes to Nothing Much To Lose

Talking Heads 77 by Talking Heads
Oct 13 2025

Felt like it was equally fun and annoying. Not bad at all, just not totally my style

Back To Black by Amy Winehouse
Oct 15 2025

This is gold. I've been listening to it for the past decade, and I gladly listened to it again for the project

To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar
Oct 16 2025

This one is hard for me to rate. I really liked it but at the same time there is something that bothers me. It would be a 3.5 and I could honestly round it up or down. I chose to round it down based on the lower expectation of actually wanting to hear the whole album again

Oct 17 2025

Really enjoyed a couple songs (Jesus doesn't want me for a sunbeam and The man who sold the world), but overall it's simply not pleasing to me

Here's Little Richard by Little Richard
Oct 20 2025

Very fun, but it does get tiring (maybe I'm just not in the mood)

Let It Bleed by The Rolling Stones
Mar 02 2026

Well, wasn't this a nice surprise? Knew nothing of the Rolling Stones, to be honest, and decided to listen to it unpretentiously while painting my kitchen and I LOVE it!

White Blood Cells by The White Stripes
Mar 03 2026

Ok, I would have absolutely loved this in my early 20s so it's a shame I didn't get to enjoy it then. The only thing I knew from the band was "I just don't know what to do with myself", so this was unexpected. Really, really enjoyed it!

The Sounds Of India by Ravi Shankar
Mar 06 2026

Nice experience. Had a lot of fun specially in the beginning, but it did get a bit tiring.

Parachutes by Coldplay
Mar 09 2026

It's fine, nice to listen to, sounds cohesive as well. Nothing special, though

It's A Shame About Ray by The Lemonheads
Mar 12 2026

It's albums like these that make this project so worth it for me. Cozy and fun at the same time, so good!!!
