1001 Albums Summary

I can't fully get into it. I hadn't heard of them before this. Kind of old school bluesy r-and-b style music? Wikipedia calls it Chamber Pop, which sounds borderline like an insult. It's good, I just don't think I'm gonna listen particularly much to it, it's not really my style. Actually, Fistful of Love is pretty catchy. I think that goes on my list.

Immegrant is one hell of an opening track. An album of good ol' fashion blues-tinged rock. The sound makes all members of the band feel like leading men, the bass doesn't play under the guitar and the drums aren't just for rhytm, it's part of the song. They even find time for a rockversion of a traditional. They turn down the tempo on the B side, for a reasonably rocking experience.

I'm not afraid to admit it, I like U2. It might not be 'cool', but they make really good music. I saw them live a couple of years ago, they were so good, they put on one hell of a show. It's a good album.

It's Bruce, it's great. I saw him live in Copenhagen in 2024, so fucking awesome.

I've always liked Nick Cave, but I haven't gotten that much into him. I really should. This is an absolute all-time banger album.

I like Divine Comedy, I really should listen to more of them. They have just snuck in on the radar with a few bangers, but this album has several more.
