Enjoyable album, shined a lot of light on teacher of hers I had never heard. Signs of classic American pop country
Classic stones, gimme shelter will always be a top track. Lots of hits, and not terribly long and drawn out.
Early rock for 1969, very influential stuff to a lot of people I’m sure. Wouldn’t find myself revisiting it, but a good discovery.
Perfect, no notes. Classic for a reason
Classic 2000s album, this set the mood for urban outfitters everywhere for the next 5 years
Ugh. Another live? No thanks, not even for cheap trick.
Great album, but purple rain is better imo. Second half of this album is better than the first.
Super political which was cool. It’s interesting to see them do this after having their biggest hit. TBH I think this was better written/produced than the self titled.
This album sucks, I hated it when it came out and I don’t like it now either. Bruce Springsteen wrote this album 30 years ago and it sucked then too. Aside from the Bob Dylan and Beatles, this band takes last place. Seriously?! An organ?! You got to be fucking kidding me, garbage
Better album today than yesterday! That’s for sure, I can tolerate Neil young in this setting. I think Stills and Furay keep him in line more, and don’t let him get all whistlly and weird. Classic rock album, that seems to have lasting effect on a lot of other albums.
Loved it, never listened to the full album before. It paints a much stronger picture for sure. I wonder if frank ocean listened to Too High before writing Channel orange
I do enjoy the velvet underground, but I prefer the andy Warhol album and lou reed stuff to the Jesusy songs. Warm production fills out the old tape recording sounds, great beach day album where you can tune in an d out of it while listening to the ocean, so you can filter out half the b/s that’s on this one.
Some good, some bad. Not my favorite Bowie tracks, but a listenable album overall.
This album was awesome, I wasn’t familiar with this artist but I gotta say I was impressed. I really like the dub feel for the whole album, and the heavy electronics I’m sure influenced so many of my favorite artists.
I don’t love this album, but I don’t hate it. I’ll admit, it’s probably mostly because the singles are played out and everyone’s parents say this is the greatest thing to happen to music since the Beatles, but it’s ok.

This album rocks, Jack white during this time period was such a revival of the spirit of the guitarist. So simple but so strong at the same time.
the kings and queens of Europop, I mostly just listen to the hits if I’m craving abba. This is as a good release all around, even if the teacher stuff is a little dated.
Paul’s boutique is a fun listen overall. Time piece for sure, and a classic beastie boys sound. Looking down the barrel of a gun is nyhc for sure, especially after the first beastie boys release.
This Fugazi album is sick, it’s a good start point for a lot of people, but hopefully 13 songs is also on here, especially because fugazi at the time was pushing the envelope in untraditional ways. 89 punk was in a weird state, and fugazi found their own lane and carved a path for tons of new bands.
Love this album, probably the best play through of everything I’ve had so far on this list. Every song picks up right where the other ended, and it’s feels cohesive. Mezzanine was more on my radar, but this is great too. Will definitely safe for future relistening.
This album is top notch, from production to length to creativity to instrumentalism, it delivers. It’s also been used in so many samples by hip hop artists for the past 40 years, it’s hard to find anyone who hasn’t been inspired by parliament.
Classic alternative/punk album. That boss chorus pedal never gets turned off all album long and it’s great. Best SY album imo
Oh baby, it is a wild world
