Sensual songs with a unique sonic sound that put the queen on the map. Bjork's vocals, the way she inflects her voice, and her cadence are super unique, and are like quick punches between notes and quick breaths.
In comparison to the rest of her discography and her as an artist, it feels like her trying to sketch out her own outline after her adolescence in other bands. All of the DNA for stuff that follows is in there, and it feels like she's exploring herself in the songs to determine what that means. Its a mix of the Icelandic folklore and the punchy production of her time in London.
