I thought this was an ok album. In the cold cold night was my favourite song on this album, I thought the simple bright guitar was nice and the low hum of the bass with the pretty vocals worked well together. Honestly tho it was a somewhat dull album in some parts perhaps due to it not being a genre I frequently listen to. I would definitely Listen to some songs on the album again but not the album itself.
I’m definitely a huge fan of the energy in this album. The fast drums and guitar strumming pair very well with the vocals. I did have to take a break half way through this album due to it being a bit repetitive. The strong British accent and singing is quite distinct and would not be to everyone’s taste. Great background music. Would listen to this album again but probably not in its entirety.
Definitely liking the style of this album/band. An album I would suggest listening to and will be revisiting.
Very cool. Would listen again.
Finally some Radiohead!!!! 😎 this isn’t my favourite album by Radiohead but damn it still slaps. Something about Thoms voice and the strange but addictive instrumentation constantly shines through the Radiohead discography and is not missing here. This was my first time really doing a deep dive into Amnesiac and I was really missing out. The experimental and spacey sounds of this album along with the dramatic vocals are extremely well done. Hunting bears was an interesting addition to Amnesiac and kinda put me in a trance. Definitely a lot of keepers in this album.
Eh
I didn’t realise how many straight bangers came from this album. There are a few forgettable tracks on here but none of which are hard to listen to. Enter the Wu-Tang is a SOLID collection of tracks. I will say this album doesn’t have the strongest opening song but is quickly made up for with the second track. 4 stars may seem a little generous given the low points on this album but there are more than enough bangers to make up for it.
I didn’t enjoy this album in the slightest. I understand that this is experimental and whatnot, but that “experiment” unfortunately flopped. There were a few songs that were boring at best and the rest were very hard to listen to.
I don’t have the energy to give an in depth review of this album. It was weird, hard to listen to and the worst sin of all, it was boring.
I’ve always liked this dudes voice. The sound of the guitar bass and voice in this album is well done. There is a bit of repetition especially in the drums and rhythm. Wish there was a bit more variation in the tracks on this album but I guess it not that kinda band
I usually love psychedelic music but this was not it for me. Kinda boring and not really something I haven’t heard before.
The strongest part of this album is the singing. There is no doubt that Adele’s voice carried the hell outta this album. It is well produced but sounds like something you’d hear walking around a shopping centre. The songwriting and instrumentation is quite safe and doesn’t really inspire me. As far as mainstream pop music goes, it’s amazing, but most of these songs are boring and shallow. I wouldn’t complain if I heard this in the background, in fact, I wouldn’t notice.
The strange style of this album did not resonate with me very much in certain parts. And perhaps psychedelia was quite new at the time but this does not feel very psychedelic at all. The voice was occasionally annoying to me. Seven and seven is was my favourite track on this album. I did enjoy the bass and the noodling on the guitar at the end. I hated the use of the harpsichord, flute and whatever else they used. It gave me immediate heartburn and made me feel like I was watching a medieval play on acid. Maybe that’s where the psychedelic aspect of this album comes in.
Cool message and cool music. It is quite an interesting style with many 90s influences but also seems timeless. The tone of the singing is so unique especially coupled with the guitar riffs. The yelling can be a bit annoying at parts but works in some.
This is a high quality collection of songs with the rich voice of Solomon Burke and warm backing track. This style of soul/RNB doesn’t really resonate with me as much as later evolutions of the style however I understand the huge historical impact and influence of this album/artist. I love the emotion and singing on this album and of course cry to me is a classic. Unfortunately it’s not my style and not something I would listen to.
Damn this is SOOO 80s. It’s not bad music, great for background music and has a few bangers such as sharp dressed man. The voice is “cool” and the guitar has a nice tone. Unfortunately this album suffers from a bit of repetition. Not really an album that stands out.
This album did not interest or inspire me. It was very forgettable. I suppose it achieved the style and sound it was trying to, but it wasn’t my style.
This dude loves words. Decent music/instrumental. A lot of these songs feel like they could belong in a movie. His voice is kinda nice. I wanna take another look at this album there’s something that interests me. Might not be my favourite stuff in the world but definitely good.
This sht is ahh. A lot of the good reviews on this seem to be blinded by nostalgia. This sounds like the imagine dragons of whatever genre this is supposed to be.
