Dire Straits
Dire Straits
Down to the Waterline would be my top choice if I was pole dancing in front of a group of Dads.
This is my first time listening to Dire Straits, but I had certainly heard OF them. I wasn't expecting this blend of melancholia, country, groove, punk and Bob Dylan-esque vocals. I've been missing out. I'm curious to check out the rest of their discography since they really hit their popularity after this.

Sound Affects
The Jam
It's honestly time that we let bass players do whatever they want again. They're stars, baby, STARS!
Something a bit funny about reviewing older music is that it can sound like it's parodying something from a more modern playlist. Lyrics seem on-the-nose, but earnest. I don't know man, I'm vibing with this. Especially the bass lines. Tasty!

Man I bet nothing bad ever happened in the 60's. Super fun. Stoned Kate Bush vibes.

And I’m the skinniest jacksooooo00000nnnnn.
Interesting choice for a Janet album. It's very '89, and not in a way I really appreciate. Her other albums are bangers though.

Graceland
Paul Simon
Paul Simon can GET IT. Musically, of course.
One time I was working on a marketing campaign for a company that had the name "Al" in it and I listened to You Can Call Me Al on repeat for weeks and went to a really dark place mentally.
4 stars because I miss Garfunkel and the guy I worked with at that job.
