Not sure I’ve ever listened to this album in full despite being a pretty big Korn fan in middle school. “Freak on a Leash” and “Got the Life” are perfect nü metal songs that stand out from the pack. Several other songs play with the same ideas. Others are nothing but immature, misogynistic, homophobia-laced diss tracks. Will stick with the singles on this one!
Funny that this album doesn’t have any of his megahits on it, but I really enjoyed it. Good vibes throughout.
Enjoyed my listen through this. Can hear its influence on plenty of music that has come since. Love the piano and percussion.
If you don't love this album are you even a millennial? These songs are encoded the DNA of everyone who went to college between 2007 and 2015 probably. Perfection.
Fun merging of influences from kind of post-hardcore to grunge to rap. Doesn't always hold together for me, but I liked it alright!
Unhinged to open an album with a 20 minute rock opera, only to follow it up with the “oriental” guitar riff…twice!
Forgettable except for “American Girl.”
Such a mood! An 18 minute long, mostly spoken word prequel to a country song is so bold. And it’s kind of great to listen to? Yes Chef!
