GOOD, fun listen overall
Fun listen. Certified hood classic
I got to Schottkey and felt like I’ve been listening to this album for 2 hours. It’s miles better than most electronic/ambient stuff I’ve listened to. I don’t hate it, it’s fine for what it is. But the genre as a whole feels like it goes on for a long time.
Full of energy, genuinely excellent songwriting and instrumentation. Sounds like a group of kids playing their heart out for crowds of 100 in shitty dive bars. Some of the best shows I’ve ever been to fit that bill. I’m almost 30 and this taps into my brain in all the oozing nostalgic, teenage rebel I never was type of ways.
A product of its time. The 70’s were interesting to say the least. You can hear Bowie oozing from every orifice of this record Only a couple songs I saved from this. I expected it to be a lot rougher around the edges production wise from an album that came out in the 70’s, but it was oddly pretty solid in my opinion. “Man too small for his skin makes tunes to wiggle your finger to”
This album screams of a young band finding its identity. Not really sure what they want to do sonically. You can hear the footsteps of the music landscape defining band they would become. For now they showed their excellent songwriting and care for the craft.
Enjoyable as a whole, felt like I didn't take a whole lot out of it in the end. The diversity on what is brought here is a lot of fun.
Rip dad
Lush soundscapes, nothing that particularly stuck with me on first listen. Maybe with successive listens more will stick.
