1001 Albums Summary

Kind of a mishmash here, from classic country to almost rock. I liked some of the songs more than others.

Loved this! So cool and groovy and listenable.

They are clearly great at what they do. The band sounds excellent and tight. While I'm not so into jam bands, I can appreciate this. Would I listen to it a lot? Probably not.

I guess it's impressive that this was a debut album? And I mean, we all love Paradise by the Dashboard Light. The ultimate in cheesy fun. And I always kind of liked Two Out of Three Ain't Bad. But it's just all so over the top. And why are all the songs so long?

Too high-concept. It just made me impatient. I was kind of disappointed because I was curious about this band.

I didn't know this album and I was surprisingly delighted by it! Love the cover art, and the album's title. I don't know a ton about hip-hop, but it's clear to me that this must have been pretty important to a lot of musicians who listened to it. And it was just cool and nice to have on!

A super solid live album. I was a fan when I was 10ish or so! Good band.

I adore this album from beginning to end. I love the Cars. They were so ahead of their time. And this is their DEBUT album.

What’s not to like? Fun psychedelic pop. This Will Be Our Year is a favorite of mine.

I was just never really into them. I liked Time Clock of the Heart from their first album. But I never bought that album, or this. I found Karma Chameleon annoying. Ok radio music but never one of my bands.

Not my favorite of his, but he’s an amazing storyteller.

Hadn’t heard this band before. Liked his voice, and the first few songs, but then they all started running together a bit.

Not really my vibe, though pretty good for what it is. I really hate that Just Like Heaven cover though. So it’s a 2.
