1001 Albums Summary

Comparable to consuming a 9 pack of frubes in one sitting. Entertaining to begin with but becomes a bit repetitive. Also a hit or a miss depending on flavour. Enjoyable on the odd occasion but not an essential on the weekly shopping list.

A similar experience to tucking into one of your favourite muller corner. The yogurt alone is pretty damn tasty but when you add a corner topping like bitter sweet symphony into the mix it takes it to a whole new level. That hidden track at the end was like discovering a chocolate banana flake in with the chocolate digestive balls- it shouldn’t really be in there but we’ll take it

An album drier than a cream cracker. Instrumentally sound but in terms of vocals not impressed at all. Almost had to force myself to listen to all 5 mins and 41sec of Don’t.

Just like double cream a tad heavy for my taste.

A mix between a country farmer/Beatles vibe but none of the songs were overly similar so a nice change from the last few albums. Just like a bubblegum ice cream on a hot summers day-not my go to flavour but still refreshing.

Never been a fan of almost purely instrumental albums. Comparable to turning up at Wimbledon buzzing for a portion of strawberries and cream just to find they’ve only given you one strawberry in your cream and charged you £9.50. Big let down.

Felt like I was just waiting for fairytale of New York. Feeling like the cat who got the cream after listening to FONY sort of lost interest in the rest of the album. A couple of decent songs in amongst but not at the same level as FONY.

Really enjoyed this one especially after a few dud albums from earlier in the week. That transition from holiday into boulevard of broken dreams gave me a similar level of satisfaction as watching a scoop of vanilla ice cream melting into a sticky toffee pudding.

Not bad at all just all too similar. Like a meter long cannoli couldn’t tell when one song finished and the next started just merged into one long album.

The kind of thing a hillbilly farmer would listen to on his rocking chair at the front porch after a long day of cow milking and cheese making.

If Ronald McDonald had a favourite album it would be this.

The crème de la crème of his generation and still worth a listen more than 50 years later.

Easy listening felt like floating down river on a boat of whipped cream. Although he does make a noticeable habit of mentioning kids in his first few songs. Having done a quick background check it looks like he’s in the clear. Other than that “minor” red flag enjoyed it more than I was expecting it’s good to be back.

Some tunes in there but overall just ok nothing to sCREAM about.
