Boston by Boston
Nov 19 2025

I now understand why we needed punk.

The Nightfly by Donald Fagen
Nov 23 2025

Not as bad as I anticipated!

Bright Flight by Silver Jews
Nov 24 2025

Surprised I liked it, what with all the jangly twang.

I Should Coco by Supergrass
Nov 25 2025

I guess it’s a good example of the genre, but early- to mid-90s pop punk stuff is not my jam.

Throwing Muses by Throwing Muses
Nov 26 2025

Couldn’t get this album, so listened to a couple other early ‘Muses, and they’re of a time for sure. Definitely could have died without hearing.

Ill Communication by Beastie Boys
Nov 27 2025

Embarassing that I know pretty much all the words to all the Beastie Boys songs, cuz that shit's lame. Evidence that a good producer can make anyone sound good, which is I guess what has given us Taylor Swift... Try not to pay attention to the lyrics, or to the fact that this is three random white guys picked up to capitalize on the new hip hop craze and sell it to the suburbs. Just let the well-chosen samples and great production carry you through, like the whole BBoys catalog.

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Nov 29 2025

Not sure this is a necessary Credence album. I would have picked any of the others from the first four years, and Bayou Country as the hidden gem. Green River is a good song, tho!
