Teen Dream by Beach House
Nov 20 2025

Very chill vibe, would love to listen to it on a hike in Maine or on the east coast somewhere

Fear Of A Black Planet by Public Enemy
Nov 21 2025

A good time the entire way through. I didn’t think I’d like this album but it was so good. I imagine I could listen to it over and over again. Great summer vibe.

Siembra by Willie Colón & Rubén Blades
Nov 22 2025

Mmmmm really not my thing. Maybe it wasn’t the right time of day or right time of the year for listening to this album. I’ll have to try it out again.

Jazz Samba by Stan Getz
Nov 23 2025

Yuuuuup phenomenal. It’s the perfect length and no two tunes feel the same but they all feel great. Perfect for a walk outside on a cold day. The only reason I checked the album length was because I hoped it wouldn’t end.

xx by The xx
Nov 24 2025

Honestly, I got more out of this when I listened to it the first time. On hearing it again, it feels flatter and less impressive. I also don’t care for the guy’s voice.

Boston by Boston
Nov 25 2025

To me, this is an essential dad rock album. From start to finish head-boppers (I won’t say bangers). The perfect length of time. I could see how the songs get old if you hear them over and over again on the radio but as an album it’s pretty consuming in a great way— the music just kinda wraps around you. It feels a little like a roller coaster where maybe the music isn’t the most complex but at the end of the day it’s really fun.

Third by Soft Machine
Nov 26 2025

Wooooooah very cool album. It was 2 hours but it was engaging from start to finish. It kind of felt like watching a movie.

Songs From The Big Chair by Tears For Fears
Dec 02 2025

Not a fave for me. Voice isn’t my favorite, maybe 80s isn’t my favorite. I will say it has its own vibe.

Sticky Fingers by The Rolling Stones
Dec 03 2025

Ok this album has some groove but I can’t really get over Mick Jagger’s strange impression of a honky tonk guy with the very British-sounding (cheesy) choruses. Like, why? At the same time, I can see how an album like this would influence future generations of folk rock guys.

The Beach Boys Today! by The Beach Boys
Dec 04 2025

Hm, I was excited when I saw Beach Boys but this album was just ok. Pet Sounds is so much better and introspective in my opinion. And I was surprised to learn this is their 8th album because it still sounds sophomoric. I guess it was their kickstart to making albums with more depth but I wouldn’t consider this a top album.
