1001 Albums Summary

I just don't really get Led Zep. Always just feels like extended blues rock jams rather than songs.

Smooth. Easy listening. Good quality pop though I guess. Too cheesy for me.

Timeless voice. Obviously had Son of a Preacher Man on it. And Windmills. Feels like it would sound great on vinyl.

I remember loving this as a kid. Especially Breaking The Girl. Obviously has some big tunes but signs already there of future funk freakout posturing. Not sure how much I love it now. Under The Bridge obviously the best song on here.

Offspring are a singles band. I honestly hadn't heard most of this before. Self Esteem is an absolute belter though. Come Out And Play is decent too. Rest fairly forgettable. 18 year old me would've loved this live though.

This was released on my 15th birthday. I listened to it a lot. Signs of the great albums they were yet to release. Sounds like kids figuring out their sound. The ear for melody is there already though.

A bit too country for me. Some pretty songs on here though.

The Zutons existed before Valerie. And I was in love with their saxophonist. I think I might have had this on CD. Jangly bluesy indie. Better than I remembered.

I'm not even listening to this. I don't like Elvis.

I don't like Morissey at all. I find it hard to see past this. Could all these songs be re-recorded with a different singer? This is garbage.
