Loveless by My Bloody Valentine
Nov 27 2025

Nostalgic soundscapes. Some of the tracks sound like they’re being played from a cassette tape. “Only shallow” was the only track I think I’ve heard before.

Melodrama by Lorde
Dec 02 2025

Clearly a talented musician but I’m just not her target audience, the lyrics don’t really talk to me. I feel the music is somewhat like Gracie Abrams’.

The ArchAndroid by Janelle Monáe
Dec 03 2025

Wow. So many audible influences. This sounds modern and classic. Like prog-rock in parts, like the music to a stage show, like a big film score James Bond or something. This is great, how has this never crossed my path before?

Rumours by Fleetwood Mac

Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen
Dec 09 2025

Listening to the first few tracks I thought I detected a Jim Steinman vibe but it turns out I got it wrong way round Jim Steinman was influenced by Springsteen, especially this album. Also two members of the E street band played on both Born to Run and Bat out of Hell. The popular tracks are classics and I enjoy, a few of the other tracks are good too. Some have a very live almost stage performance music feel to them, like this is a soundtrack to a musical in parts, maybe this adds to the Steinman vibe.

The Rise & Fall by Madness
Dec 10 2025

As a British person born in a working class family and community in the 80s I’m probably meant to say that I love Madness and some tracks do have a certain nostalgic value to them but they just don’t resonate with me at all.

Green by R.E.M.
Dec 18 2025
Mr. Tambourine Man by The Byrds
Jan 15 2026

I know I’m probably supposed to love old classics like this but I just don’t. A lot of the tracks sound the same to me, jangly guitar just isn’t my thing.
