Pale Blue Eyes - a banger as always, album very listenable even in 2025

Other than the songs everyone knows had a couple ones that were "new" for me and really clicked nicely in the moment! Bono's vocals had me reaching for the PAUSE button every 2-3 songs, it's a little much if you're not already a huge fan of theirs... but overall worthwhile listen all the way through.

Large number of evergreen songs, "Babe I'm Gonna Leave Ya" stands out for intensity and raw **edge**.

Fun little songs, but unfortunately they've become mostly muzak level.

Surprisingly good album, vintage sounds combined with electronica, minimalistic and very work-friendly. Quality of the album is noticeably higher at the beginning, generally trends downward as the album plays on.

A classic for a reason, hits hard, the band is at their hair-raising best!

For some reason Nick Cave's voice ruined a ton of good instrumentation and downright good beats...

A good effort, Lorde keeps within her normal vocal range, with similar beats but a good diversity of outcomes on each song - good album overall, I'd give it a listen again!

My first introduction to this artist, can't say I found anything to like or dislike. Fairly *okay* soft rock sound, decent voice.

Forgettable.

Punk sucks.

Highway Star probably better as a song and as entertainment than Smoke on the Water, everything else... primitive rock 'n roll.

Classic album with some known hits and some awesome B-sides ("Funky Shit" in particular).

The beginning of it all, the anthems still stand out, the B-sides... not so much. Good album overall.

Avant garde, but not in the good way. "Games Without Frontiers" stands out as the only good song for me, personally.

Not bad, good background music I'd say - well produced and with some heart, but not something to which to listen to *actively*.

A classic.
