Sound of Silver by LCD Soundsystem
Nov 28 2025

A couple tracks had funky catchy grooves, but I lost interest. Not my bag.

The Number Of The Beast by Iron Maiden
Dec 02 2025

Pretty much text book power metal. Soaring operatic vocals. Good guitar work and mixed so the bass can be heard. Great instrumental bridge sections. Well oiled machine.

Exodus by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Dec 03 2025

This is classic reggae. They do it well. I found the songs smearing together though, but that's just the nature of the genre. I appreciate the talent, but didn't find myself ever saying "What is the name of this track, I want to be able to listen to it again"

In Utero by Nirvana
Dec 04 2025

Classic. This is the stuff I developed my musical interest on. Hard to be an objective critic. That being said, this is the first time I've sat down to listen to this entire album. This stuff is all about being raw. There is plenty of dynamics on the instruments to keep things fresh. A lot of song diversity as well. This is an album that makes me want to get nice sound system and a copy on vinyl.

Highway to Hell by AC/DC
Dec 05 2025

All about bombastic energy, and they do it well. They have the formula for arena anthems for sure. I found my attention drifting towards the second half of the album. They are classic for a reason, but the dose probably needs to be less than an entire album.

Lady Soul by Aretha Franklin
Dec 08 2025

Blistering vocals. Easy to see why she's the gold standard all the rest are measured against.
