all the different versions of this have such different track lists, so I listened to the original which has bleeps on it when Johnny swears in front of the sensitive ears of San Quentin prison. I was born in 1989 so I grew up with Johnny Cash as a child and then when I came of independent musical taste age all Johnny Cash was doing was that awful series of cover albums with Rick Rubin's record label.

already a regular in my rotation and has been for almost 20 years. John Taylor goes so unbelievably hard on this. I truly believe this album will never die. The Chauffeur is surely a Top 50??? song of all time, maybe even higher. 1982 seems ahead of its time to me but I'm sure people who were around at the time think this is exactly what 1982 sounds like

top 3 greatest albums of all time I've been listening to it almost every fortnight since I was 13 and I'm still finding new things in it. The ambition and layers of melodies, riffs and noises is something I miss dearly in the blockbuster rock album.

this album is very special to me, loved it as a child and a teen and as an adult. Space rock band reforms and makes britpop. Richard Ashcroft is COOL.

still somehow know all the words to this album, the production sounds like shit but the song writing endures. good shit!!!
