Popular Reviews

Most often I want my listening experience to be a bit easier that progrock accommodates. Listening to this album really solidified this in my head. I guess I'm **capable** of thinking about what I'm listening to, but largely choose to let my mind wander. Yes, for me, demands full attention. Kind of exhausting honestly.

Superunknown by Soundgarden
Dec 13 2025

Kim Thayil's guitar is just the right mix of support and lead. Love the work on Limo Wreck. Chris Cornell - what an iconic voice. This era of music has some of the best vocalists.

At Mister Kelly's by Sarah Vaughan
Dec 20 2025

Almost choked on the cigarette smoke by lounging in a 1950's club.

The Suburbs by Arcade Fire
Dec 21 2025

I largely skipped over Arcade Fire early on. It took me two listens to The Suburbs to come to the conclusion that their big production pop synth with simple, but driving guitar, bass, and drums, hits the right notes for me. Reminds a little bit of ELO with Yo La Tengo mixed in.

The Man Machine by Kraftwerk
Dec 22 2025

Ethereal and airy, but a bit repetitive. I appreciate Kraftwerk's ground breaking influence that has yielded the electronic music we have today.

Heaven Or Las Vegas by Cocteau Twins
Dec 23 2025

Fraser's vocals are out of this world. Very atmospheric instrumental approach with a mix of electronic and conventional bass / guitar / drum.

Arrival by ABBA
Dec 24 2025

Too much bubblegum. I can't hang.
