Don't Stand Me Down by Dexys Midnight Runners

Fun, creative, and different. It was such a fun listen. I really liked the talking parts and how the conversations were part of the songs, it felt fresh and new to me. I haven’t really heard anything like it before, and it made the listening experience really enjoyable. I also loved how playful the whole album felt. From the music to the lyrics, everything felt creative and fun.

Ágætis Byrjun by Sigur Rós

This album feels very dreamy and haunting, especially the vocals and the emotions they bring. The music sounds melancholic but also hopeful at the same time. The songs flow smoothly into each other, making the album feel very cohesive and almost continuous. It feels cinematic and powerful, sometimes even overwhelming. I think I wasn’t in the right moment to fully absorb it, as it felt too big for me to handle right now, but it was still really good to listen to.

Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon & Garfunkel
Dec 22 2025

There are songs here that I really enjoyed, and others that didn’t stand out as much. The album is nice, but it felt a bit uneven for me. Still a good listen though, I liked It.

Super groovy, even the slow songs make you want to move. It’s one of the music styles that I really like, and I had a great time listening to it.

Grace by Jeff Buckley
Dec 24 2025

This album feels very emotional and expressive. It starts strong and keeps a consistent quality throughout, with no “meh” moments for me. I really liked listening to this one.

Music for the Masses by Depeche Mode
Dec 25 2025

It sounds pretty dark but cinematic, almost like something you'd hear in dystopian cyberpunk sci-fi movies and stuff. Not really my cup of tea, but it was good overall.

Dec 26 2025

Classic Christmas songs with a very old-school feel. Not really my thing, but it was fine overall. Some songs were enjoyable, but not something I’d come back to often.

Eagles by Eagles

Easy to listen to, the songs were pretty smooth and enjoyable all throughout. It’s the kind of album you can play without thinking too much. It was a fun listen, and I liked it.

Dirt by Alice In Chains
Dec 27 2025

It has a very dark and heavy sound, from the music to the vocals and themes. It was an interesting and intense listen, but good overall.

Your Arsenal by Morrissey
Dec 28 2025

At first, I was a bit confused about what the album was trying to say. I wasn’t sure if it was serious, sarcastic, or something else. But as I kept listening, it turned out to be a fun listen, and I ended up liking it. It’s a good album that I enjoyed overall.

This was such a vibe to listen to. The lyrics felt relatable and fun, and the music was energetic and cool. I really enjoyed the album from start to finish and had a great time listening to it.

Hot Rats by Frank Zappa
Dec 31 2025

This album was really cool to listen to. It was something new for me since most of the tracks are instrumental, with very little lyrics. Even without focusing on words, the music itself was fun. It was groovy and enjoyable all throughout. Definitely a fun listen.

Easy to listen to and very chill. The songs tell their stories well, and the music was nice all throughout. It’s the kind of album you can just put on and let play. I enjoyed it and had a good time listening to it.

Violator by Depeche Mode
Jan 02 2026

I really liked this album. It still sounds dark, but in a way that really works for me. It feels more sensual, smooth, and satisfying. The music and lyrics fit together really well, and the flow and overall vibe made it a great listening experience for me.

Highway 61 Revisited by Bob Dylan
Jan 03 2026

This album started strong and was mostly good, but it felt a bit up and down for me. I really appreciate the lyrics and storytelling, and the music works well with them. Some songs felt long and a bit dragging, probably because there are so many lyrics packed into each track. I enjoyed parts of it, but it didn’t fully click with me all the way through.

Red Headed Stranger by Willie Nelson
Jan 04 2026

I didn’t expect to enjoy a country concept album about a man who killed his wife and her lover, but this album surprised me. The story is interesting and well told, and the music is calm and easy to listen to. Even with the dark themes, the album feels very chill and relaxed. It was another new experience, and I ended up enjoying it a lot.

You're Living All Over Me by Dinosaur Jr.
Jan 05 2026

The lyrics on this album feel emotional, vulnerable, and very angsty. The vocals sound deadpan, almost weak and monotone, which really contrasts with the loud, heavy, and intense rock music behind them. That contrast actually works well and makes the songs more interesting. The whole album was really fun to listen to. It’s loud, emotional, and cool in a messy but enjoyable way.

C'est Chic by CHIC
Jan 06 2026

Very funky, very groovy, and very fun. This album just makes you want to dance and enjoy the music. Even if some lyrics are repetitive and some songs go on a bit long, the sound and groove make up for it. A really enjoyable listen

Bad by Michael Jackson
Jan 07 2026

A very familiar and classic album. The songs are catchy, groovy, fun, and easy to enjoy, and I had a good time listening to it.

Stankonia by OutKast
Jan 08 2026

I’m not really big on rap or hip-hop, but I still enjoyed this album. The songs have strong social commentary and storytelling, mixed with funky and upbeat sounds. It’s fun and easy to listen to. The tracklist feels long, but the interludes help make it feel lighter and entertaining. Overall, it’s a good and enjoyable album.

Meat Is Murder by The Smiths
Jan 10 2026

This was a pretty interesting listen. I think I came in with high expectations because The Smiths are such a well-known band, and that may have affected how I felt about it. The music and lyrics were good, and I appreciate the themes and what they were trying to say, even if the vocals felt a bit off for me at times. It starts strong, dips in the middle, then gets better again near the end. Overall, it was fine, a pretty decent listen.

Brutal Youth by Elvis Costello
Jan 11 2026

I found this album to be okay, but not really one of the best for me. Some of the songs sound like they could be from old sitcom theme songs. I noticed the contrast between the happy-sounding music and the darker stories in the lyrics. However, overall, the album didn’t really click with me. The vocals didn’t feel like the right fit for the style, and many of the songs felt hit-or-miss. I enjoyed a few tracks, but most didn’t stand out. I listened to the whole album and appreciated it, but it wasn’t the best listening experience for me.

Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf
Jan 12 2026

This album tells stories about love in many different ways. The music is very rock-heavy and powerful, and I really enjoyed it. Even though the songs are long, they didn’t feel boring to me at all. I liked the storytelling a lot, and I could clearly imagine scenes in my head while listening. The album starts strong and keeps its energy throughout. I appreciate the theatrical and musical feel of it, and it made the whole listening experience fun.

Stand! by Sly & The Family Stone
Jan 13 2026

This album is very powerful, with lyrics that give a clear message of empowerment, acceptance, and encouragement. It’s paired with fun, funky, and groovy music that makes it really enjoyable to listen to. I had a great time with it and liked how meaningful and energetic it felt at the same time. It’s uplifting, strong, and easy to appreciate.

Remain In Light by Talking Heads
Jan 14 2026

This one has really good storytelling in its lyrics, touching on political and social ideas as well as more personal and spiritual thoughts. All of this is paired with very cool and interesting music, and the delivery of the songs makes everything more engaging. I enjoyed listening to it and found the album both meaningful and fun at the same time.
