So by Peter Gabriel
Dec 29 2025

Sledgehammer, very 80s techno, magical tone piano, powerful dry vocals. So far my favorite song. His voice is very strong yet it’s almost dry, kind of addicting. Beautiful, deep lyrics and there’s a lot of passion in his voice while he delivers them. That voice again has a great and musical background and there’s lyrics are sweet but about longing, you can feel it from it his voice too. His song intros are so soothing and build up an amazing jungle vibe, kind of reminds me of the lion king. Very nostalgic.

Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys
Dec 30 2025

Came out 1966, and you can tell. Very chill, beach almost simple musical background. Focuses on harmonizing vocals.

Back At The Chicken Shack by Jimmy Smith
Dec 31 2025

Had no idea what to expect with this album. So far it’s jazzy, blues, very soulful piano riffs. Saxophone is also very lively, it gives it a very playful vibe. It’s actually really fun to listen to. I love jazz. This jazz makes me want to dance and spin around. Jimmy plays the organ so passionately, you can tell he just goes with his heart and has fun with it

Jan 02 2026

Pretty good pop, soft rock band. Very signature style that they’re known for with the ethereal sounds in the background and poetic lyrics

The Suburbs by Arcade Fire
Jan 05 2026

Kind of underwhelming. Not my style. I liked some of the flow but it just sounded like church rock to me. The lyrics were nice but the delivery isn’t my taste.

Ready To Die by The Notorious B.I.G.
Jan 06 2026

It’s a classic album for a reason. He started a lot of trends, people have sampled these beats and he’s just an icon in the hip hop industry. The sex scenes in this were really weird, but I know it’s the point.

Live And Dangerous by Thin Lizzy
Jan 07 2026

To me it sounded like more vocally talented version of Elivis and that classic 80s rock combined. Not bad. I don’t like that the album is only available in live.

Let's Get It On by Marvin Gaye
Jan 08 2026

It’s nice. Smooth jazzy soul. Nothing too fancy.

Halcyon Digest by Deerhunter
Jan 09 2026

Pretty weird stuff lol. Kinda folky indie vibes but they use some interesting musical elements. Sometimes it’s a little eerie. The singer seems to be the focal point, the music can be super mellow and quiet, very slow too. Ig this is alternative indie. The way the vocals are delivered reminds me of the Beatles. Overall a couple unique songs but nice indie vibes

The ArchAndroid by Janelle Monáe
Jan 12 2026

Very theatrical. Maybe too much for me. She’s an extremely talented singer though
