a very solid album all around
you can never go wrong with dookie
thrift god blessed me that day i got the cd of this album for 3 pounds
has always been an album with songs that lurks back into my music rotation each year
so many bass lines that i want to be able to play
fav: when i come around
have seen this album cover around quite a few times but have never really looked into it or actually have put it off a bit. i wasn’t even sure what the genre was or what to expect, so far im pleasantly surprised. the bass cannot go unnoticed esp a woman behind the bass hell yeah. v funky and groovy ! omg so thats Once in a Lifetime and thats talking heads. okay im so sorry but one of my first thoughts was this is king julian singing if he could sing properly and had a creative direction.
first jazz album in a longtime. unfortunately, i feel like i don’t have the enough knowledge to critic or comment properly on jazz, or moreover it doesn’t feel like my place to do so lol. for a live recording for the 60s, this is really smooth. bass is incredible. bass pulls you back each time. each instrument hold on to each other very well. fav: alice in wonderland, take 1
not my usual genre at all. that was kinda okay surprisingly. im sorry i lowkey skipped through it.. traveling man was good though
other people’s reviews are so funny this literally letterboxd but for albums. no but they were right i can’t differentiate the songs from each other bye. fun and enjoyable.
heard about neil young somewhere i don’t remember where or by who. reviews of this album is so mixed lmfao. a man needs a maid …??? oh hell nah bruh. was going to give this a 3 cause i guess i get it and there are like 2 songs that are bearable but im giving that a one star like what was that….. crazy take but sometimes i couldn’t care less about a white man’s album likeeee. okay sorry no but i dropped that too.
okay yeah sue me i have never listened to a U2 album fully but i swearrrr i know ball (i have heard most of them). i remember buying a vinyl of this album for my uncle though. humming everything from start to end.
i appreciate this album but i also expected a bit more :( or maybe because in general im not the biggest fan of art rock or art pop. still, there are a few tracks that i liked a lot more than others.
okay cool bass ig. another album and artist i have no idea of. (i believe that might be the case for a lot of the albums on this list) definitely an 80s album for sure. sometimes you can give me funky bass lines, i might just get pass it all. im getting bored already lol. a lot of my reviews for albums is recognizing the effort and time spent on each song or the entire album itself but i just can’t get on the train of it..? so i feel bad LOL. vocals also i can’t really get past it.
hey sometimes i guess you just gotta listen to some shitty 2000s musics man. everyone look away y’all ain’t catching me vibing to this. okay i really enjoyed that more than i thought i would LOL.
HELL YEAH LITERALLY WAS LISTENING TO HER A COUPLE DAYS AGO cause i remember my last taxi ride in milan having her on aux. guys we already know the rating. shes literally perfect to me.
okaaay i’m on a roll for good albums. have been wanting to dive deeper into portishead for a long long while now so yay. slowly got into it but half way through it was hard to turn away from it all. such a unique way of drawing you in. so dark, eerie, and haunting.
oh wow oh wow. i have listened to nina simone before but nothing like fully listening to her album and this is definitely so so rich and powerful. GIRL goosebumps to say the least. and these are left over recordings????? oh lilac wine…
jesus christ what are these lyrics ….. dropped this cause icb asked to sit through it all.
