Great album, featuring many famous songs, very much in the Michael Jackson style, but there are not only upbeat songs, which I love. But overall very disco, great for dancing, fun. No reason to save songs from it when it can be generally listened to as a full piece, since basically all songs are great. Not sure about the rating, just because Michael Jackson is not my usual listen. But objectively I understand why this album is on the list and it's influence
Honestly, I think this album is kind of boring. At least it begins very boring. I didn't like any purely Gorillaz songs except for some instrumentals like "Double Bass". Yeah, I understand that they tried to mix a bunch of genres, but I don't know how well that worked. Either way, it does have famous songs that are good, but those are collaborations. And it also ends just with remixes of the two most famous songs, which just seems lazy, I don't know. Maybe I am biased because I didn't like these remixes. Or because I just don't really like the genre. I do like some fo their music but I wouldn't listen to this album
Had to listen to this album twice to understand what I think about it. I think it starts a bit mid but the ending is fantastic. Overall, I can recognize it's relevance, but I am not sure if it moves personally me
I think it's a good album and I do recognize it's relevance, however, when it comes to Bob Dylan I cannot like all of his songs and maybe that's because it's so specific Possibly because I need to be in a specific mood. Either way I think for me personally there are better Dylan albums, however this one is also good and the only issue is that I find it a little bit repetitive. Either way he was a legend.
I LOVE ABBA SO MUCH!!!!! It’s a good album and have many great songs, but i think there are better, but that’s just personal opinion
Lovely album, I personally love Talking Heads so much, they're so fun. This shit always makes me move, but I just think there are better Talking Heads albums. So it lacks that little something for 5 stars but overall it is still awesome
I love this album so so much. Queen in general. But the production... All instrumental parts are so good, the vocal harmonies are beautiful, and every song is special in its own way. This album speaks to my soul and me. It shows why music is truly a form of art. Freddie Mercury's voice is out of this world, and Brian May's guitar parts are just surreal. Love of my life.
I don’t know how to rate this objectively because it’s not my music taste and i didn’t listen to the full album. I think i cannot give it a 1 because it’s not bad, but going off of what i like i can’t give it more than a 2
This was honestly very fun. I just don't feel like it's fair to rate it as high as my usual music taste idk
Honestly, this is such a good album because basically, almost all songs slap. I think the only reason why I can't give it a solid 5 is that it's not perfect. But most of the songs are bangers, especially the slower, moody ones. Yes, it gets a little repetitive, but it stays on the theme, and that is what I love. Except that there is a part in the middle with faster, more major songs. I want this on CD.
Going into this album, I expected it not be good as I do not have an appreciation for modern music. But the star was very surprisingly surprised me. I really liked the jazzy parts, and in that case, I would really listen to this album, but as it went on, I remembered why I don't like modern music. The rap ruined it for me because it became shallow. Don't get me wrong, I love some rap (90s), but this is just not it. Would've loved it if jazzy songs were separated into another album, then I would listen to it and buy a CD. Also, there are a lot of songs, but the album is not that long. I think it's because it got a bit repetitive.
I don't know how to rate this album. I think it shouldn't be an album. You should go to a blues club and see this live. There needs to be that atmosphere. There are some songs that sound like an old movie soundtrack which is comforting. But this kind of sbstract and experimental doesn't work with me really. Not all songs suit me, so sadly, I can't rate it highly. But it is not bad.
I really like Paul McCartney and this album. I think all the songs fit together very well, but they are not necessarily repetitive, which is nice. It's a good album for a full listen. Mf didn't need the Beatles to make hits.
Okay, I love punk, and I love The Clash. I fully understand and agree that this album is genre-defining, and I do like a few songs from this album, but it gets a little boring. Well, punk songs are repetitive, so I can't say that since that's the point. Simple structure but powerful lyrics. Basically, it's a good listen, but I don't think I would listen to it whole.
I actually quite like this album. It was a discovery for me. Although I do think it's a bit unnecessarily long. Otherwise, it's a good full album listen if you take out the repetitive part. All songs are pretty good
IT'S NEVER OVEEEERRRRR. THE YEARNING OMGGG. yea some songs like hallelujah honestly ruin it; therefore, it's not perfect, but OH MY GOD. I might just kill myself. Listened to this on repeat on a lot of hearwrenching accasions so yeah, personal connection.
Okay, so I’m really sorry for the rating of this album. It’s chill, short and concise but I found it a little boring. Like it didn’t give me any specific feeling I don’t know
Yeah honestly i don't know what to say because I don't think anything has to be said. Can't think of anything bad to say
Damn, never really listened to Pet Shop Boys, but this album surprised me a lot. I love 80s music for dancing, but then again, not every album hits. It's usually selective songs, but this album is just great. Almost every song is a dance hit, and I love it. Also, it sounds very 80s landmark, and I appreciate that too. Very fun album for 80s lovers.
