If You Can Believe Your Eyes & Ears by The Mamas & The Papas
Aug 19 2025

Okay, I liked this album a lot more than I expected! I wish I could go back and edit my previous ratings cause now I'm getting influenced. Of course California Dreamin' is such a classic, and it holds up so well. I also really liked Got a Feelin'. I honestly feel like this album is beyond it's time, and it's very dance-y

Lady Soul by Aretha Franklin
Aug 20 2025

Wow I'm so glad that this introduced me to Aretha because this entire album was so full of feeling and musical and vocal expertise; just floored me. Not particularly music I would look for on my own, but it really hit me deep. I will be listening to Good to Me as I Am to You on repeat- I think that's my favourite song off this album, along with Chain of Fools. Ain't no Way was also very beautiful. 9/10

Out Of The Blue by Electric Light Orchestra
Aug 21 2025

Honestly, not entirely for me. Some songs are incredibly nostalgic, and I'd say musically important, but I think I get too lost in the repetition of a lot of the songs, and the length of the album itself. Did love Starlight and Believe Me Now

Highway 61 Revisited by Bob Dylan
Aug 22 2025

I definitely preferred the last half of this album than the first,, Like a Rolling Stone was cool for the first three minutes before I realized it kept going and kept repeating. I think the repetitiveness is what felt like the beginning dragged; versus Desolation Row, which is 11 whole minutes, but doesn't feel repetitive because of the more poetic lyrics

Paul Simon by Paul Simon
Aug 24 2025

I’d honestly prefer to listen to this kinda folk over Bob Dylan. This album was a smooth ride with some really fun songs and experimentation in between. My favourite has gotta be Me and Julio Down By the Schoolyard. Such a fun song

Wild Is The Wind by Nina Simone
Aug 29 2025

Nina Simone's lyrics and the yearning and heartbreak in this album are just so compelling. What More Can I say, Wild is the Wind, and If I Should Lose You, have been my favourites, just incredible piano playing and singing
