Brothers In Arms by Dire Straits
Jan 17 2026

Obviously know and love the three big singles, but have not spent much time with the other songs on this album. They are rather beautiful and delicate, but often a bit sloggish given their run time. The album still sounds beautiful and was clearly ahead of its time in production and recording and a 40th anniversary remastering sounds excellent.

Raw Power by The Stooges
Jan 22 2026

Listened to both mixes. Traditionalists be damned. The Iggy 1997 mix is so much better. Sorry Bowie. Kicks ass and is short. Shame The Stooges were such a mess. Search and Destroy will always be sick.

Surfer Rosa by Pixies

These early alt rock albums are lost on me
