I found the middle part of the album pretty boring tbh. The good songs are REALLY good tho. Honestly, idk if the middle part of the album is actually boring or I'm not paying attention. But it'd have my attention if it was good tbf. I like Thriller more anyway.
This album makes me want to be a better person. I don't think I've ever listened to this sober. Unskippable. Goated. Breeeeeaaathe, Breathe in the aiiiiiiir.
I want this album injected into my bloodstream. But they have better albums tbh. Iconic electronic dance music.
Very experimental. She samples old south indian music which reminds me of home. BirdFlu and Boyz are straight up Dappan Kuthu Gaana songs and Jimmy is 80s Indian disco music inspired by Bappi fucking Lahiri. I'm a sucker for fusion. M.I.A. is so goated. Strong start, but the middle and end is pretty skippable except for Paper Planes.
The first time I'm listening to Aretha. Oh my god, amazing. Beautiful album. Listened to it twice. Will prolly listen to it more. Goated
Proper grunge shit. Makes you wanna scream and break shit. Very fun to listen to, especially when you're working out. But Kurt Cobain's voice isn't doing it for me tbh.
The start made me feel like it was another white American yeehaw album. But, the last two songs got me right in the feels. We Had It All got me very emotional ngl.
It sounds like a very generic old pop album. Which low-key shows how influential they've been to the genre. Very easy and pleasant listen but nothing special imo. Great background music ngl. The type of music you'd hear in an old speakeasy.
I haven't really delved much into this genre. This is what I imagine the American South sounds like. Very yeehaw type shit. It was a calm start but it got progressively fun. Super enjoyable, but the genre isn't really a favorite of mine tbh.
Groovy, funky and chill. Passively listened while grocery shopping. Vocals are okay. Instrumentals are pretty dated but really good. Very enjoyable, preferably with some za. I'd give it a 3.5.
I'm kinda going through heartbreak and this album kinda hit way too close to home. Her voice is amazing. The good songs are peak, but the rest are forgettable. Great storytelling tho.
Easy listen. Nothing special tho tbh. Gets pretty boring, but the instrumentals are so good. Maybe, I'll like it on a revisit idk. Feels like lounging music.
Bowie again? I liked this one more than the Low. Fame is such a banger. Fun album, but pretty dated for it's time. Honestly, I'm not that into the Bowie hype. I'm not very educated on his influence. Musically, he's decent but that's about it. Maybe I should read his biography or something idk.
Peak. Such a fun album. No notes really. It's very repeatable. The 1st half is good, but the second half is a whole other vibe.
Groovy af. The bass goes hard af. Mfer has a voice of an angel. Easy listen. Chill vibes. Great when you're unwinding and want to listen to something relaxing.
Nice chill album. Deep ass lyrics. Nothing special really.
Sooooo fun! Catchy ass songs! This is actually my first time listening to Duran Duran. It's so good. The bass. Oh my god, the bass. Immediate fan ngl.
Thought it was getting a bit repetitive and then I realized it's different versions of the same song. This album is sampling galore. I could recognize samples here and there. Feels very influential to mainstream modern music. I fuckin love soul music tho. Amazing album all around. I'm a sucker for the bass-trumpet-raspy voice combo.
Banger album with the worst guitar interlude I've ever heard. Like, wtf was that? Minus 2 just cause of the headache that shitty interlude gave me.
It's okay. It was kinda boring tbh. I can't say the songs were bad, but it felt pretty mid to me.
