1001 Albums Summary

Cool album, fun to listen to, though I don’t usually listen to Cuban music and probably won’t revisit it often.

Awesome album - one of the best by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. It slows down a bit on a few tracks, but there’s no filler here. The final track, "Oh Children," is easily one of the best in his entire catalog.

It’s a really good album, featuring some of Elton’s greatest songs like “Bennie and the Jets” and “Candle in the Wind.” The record offers a mix of genres, from prog rock to reggae, country, and rock ’n’ roll. The downside is its length - it’s just a bit too long and varied at times to fully hold the listener’s attention.

The whole album feels like waiting for those three songs (you know which ones). I can’t really remember much else after listening, except maybe the Paul McCartney feature. The production is top-notch, but it’s not something that makes me want to come back to it.

There’s nothing inherently bad about this album, but aside from a few standout tracks like “Alive” and “Black,” nothing really sticks with me. I don’t find much replay value in it.

Perfect album from start to finish. Not a single filler. The whole record feels like a summer dream. I absolutely love Elizabeth Fraser’s vocals. She’s a real-life siren. Bye!

Good album. Maybe not their absolute best, but it features some of my all-time favorite Depeche Mode tracks, like “Strangelove” and “Behind the Wheel.”

Terrible lyrics, but excellent delivery and production. Without the lyrics, this could easily be a 4 or 5-star album.

Nice blend of heartland rock and psychedelic sounds in the spirit of Neil Young. There isn’t much variation across the album, but its mood perfectly captures the feeling of spring (at least for me).
