1001 Albums Summary

A good punk album, mixes really good grooves from the bass with simple melodic strums from the guitar, adding in a rough and gritty singing voice for an overall good album, if a bit one note. Favorite song: Perhaps Vampires Is A Bit Strong But...

White stripes Elephant was a really good album that fell into the AC/DC trap of just repeating the song title over and over, but it has really good grooves 4/5 fav song: In the Cold, Cold Night

Frank Zappa's Hot rats was an album I loved, it's got great instrumentals and every song manages to feel different and groovy while letting different instruments get the spotlight 5/5, fav song: Son of Mr Green Genes

Joni Mitchell's Blue was also good, but not to my taste. They are definitely a good singer, but behind the soft country and blues, I couldn't fully pick the songs apart and it left me wanting more 3/5, Fav song: California

Foo Fighters self-titled is a great album that I didn't listen to as I was -5yrs old when it came out, fantastic sound, lyrics, and feel to really capture the best parts of 90's grunge 4/5 fav song: Alone + Easy Target

Man did I not realize that the rolling stones kind of sucked, this was a almost repugnant album that started great with paint it black, but then quickly turned to misogyny and songs about a past they never lived Fav song: Paint It Black

Another great Stevie album, full of amazing grooves, excellent lyrics, and the type of music that makes you want to throw your ass 5/5, fav song: Boogie on Reggae Woman
