Fantastic instrumentals
Definitely not an every day listen but great psychedelic rock
I wish there was more going on lyrics wise with some of the songs, highly repetitive lyrics for 7-10 minutes starts to get a bit old
21st century schizoid man and In the Court of the Crimson King were standout favorites, I talk to the Wind and Moonchild not so much.
Would lean closer to a 3.5 if I could since I loved 3/5 songs. The remaining 2 were good but not something I see myself revisiting often.
Didn’t understand the hype around this album until over halfway through it. It starts with the hits that I think most people are more familiar with (Scar Tissue, Otherside, Californication), solid catchy songs that play everywhere. Once you get past these, there’s a string of songs I would call misses (Easily through I Like Dirt) before picking back up with songs I hadn’t heard before but enjoyed much more, particularly This Velvet Glove and Purple Stain.
Overall I think the album has too many misses or mid songs for me to call it great. The whole thing feels like a rubber band flinging back and forth between great instrumentals and interesting vocals to repetitive and boring. I can see how some would enjoy this album more, but I don’t think the Red Hot Chili Peppers are for me.
3/5 overall, some great songs but gets old fast for an 18 song album.
Can’t go wrong with most Led Zeppelin albums
Not my favorite Led Zeppelin album but definitely not my least favorite. A very solid album that is similar to most of their popular tracks, no misses, but doesn’t reach the peaks that some of their later work hits. Still a great album all around
Beautiful is the best word to describe this album. Tough to listen to on car speakers while driving as it interferes a lot with the background noise of the album. Listening with headphones made me like this significantly more and I think I’ll listen to more from Sigur Rós in the future.
Pretty fun album all around, not my cup of tea but an upbeat, fun album.
Very much an 80s album
Enjoyed this album
Classic grunge album, first time listening to anything by Courtney Love and I thought it was pretty good. Didn’t blow me away but I can’t say I disliked any specifics songs. I think the lyricism was the strong point of the album alongside vocals on some of the songs.
Not super exciting, didn’t love it didn’t hate it
Really good album, wasn’t sure why it was the live version specifically but totally understood after listening. Great live performance and fun music
Lots of good songs on here but I don’t like Bob Dylan’s voice very much. Some songs I didn’t mind it but for the most part I’d prefer covers from other artists
Favorite David Bowie album, no skips
I’ve loved ELO for a long time, this album is their core with a majority of their most popular songs. The rest of their discography has a lot of interesting work as well. Never going to complain much about an ELO album.
As soon as this album started, I thought it sounded like a million songs I’d heard before. The longer I listened to it, the more it seemed like this may have inspired a lot of knock offs. Music sounded somewhat generic but the instrumentals and vocals were good and the individual songs on the album were pretty unique. Pleasantly surprised.
A completely different side of David Bowie from Ziggy Stardust. Much bigger fan of David Bowie’s weirder songs, but the ones on this album are still great.
Good songs and good riffs but nothing got me super excited.
Pretty good background music, but I’m not sure this belongs on a list of albums I need to listen to before I die.
Half these songs were weird and not in a good way.
Great album, lots of classic songs on here. Very peaceful
Flawless, so many great songs
First and last 25% of this album was completely mid, but the middle had some beautiful songs that elevate it.
Full of good songs, very consistent throughout, great songs at the end
Good Doors album, some songs were kinda samey
