1001 Albums Summary

Very much enjoy the passion in this album. I may be a bit biased because I love Prince/the literal king of sass. But in all actuality, I think his guitar riffs are great in this album and there's a decent variance in tempo throughout the album. Def scream at the top of my lungs to some of these songs...

Has a lot of potential. I very much enjoy the heart throbby aspects to the album, BUT I do, indeed, think that it is too long. I think the instrumentals are SUCH a vibe, especially for the time period, but I do think it's difficult to compose an album with such lengthy instrumentals that does NOT get a little bit repetitive/dull. Overall still nice for a vibey, chill time but felt half hearted.

Groovy. A little too slow for my taste and I think a bit lacking. When I think of the artist I often associate musical genius but this album doesn't really show that.

Kinda sounded like elton john was their idol and tried really hard to sound similar. eh

Good soul music. Some pretty good songs here and loved the yearning and heartbreak themes as well. I don't think I had ever heard her music, but was a pretty good one overall.

I love her spunk. Beautiful raspy voice. Tragic that she had a short lived career, she was great.
