1001 Albums Summary

This was my first time listening to the entire album in order. It’s somehow simultaneously bright and melancholic. Perfectly encapsulating 80s nostalgia - even for someone that didn’t live it.

Consistent style and groove. The baseline and instrumentals are absolutely hot butter. Vocals are pure talent and the toasty contrast needed for an excellent soul album.

Solid dad/yacht rock. I wouldn’t reach for it, but it’s a great summer vibe, and one of those albums that I unintentionally know all the lyrics to.

I’m not the target audience, but her talent is undeniable.

Quintessential 70s rock. This album is diverse; offering heavy blues to folk influences. While I’d reach for Album III over this, Physical Graffiti is nothing short of a masterpiece.

Not my vibe, but I can see whey it made the list.

Classic 90s hip hop

Excellent. Mom said she borrowed the vinyl from the library and recorded it on cassette tape.

A classic, but not my favorite Bowie album.
