1001 Albums Summary

Hard to unhear all the cliches even though I'm sure he invented them. Reminds me how much of this era of music is truly just fad and hit chasing. Hard to call it art but LR is electric.

Fantastic, of course. I was obsessed with this 25 years ago. Amazing how much difference a decade makes between Little Richard and this.

This album looks exactly how it sounds. You had four incredibly talented voices with exactly zero vibes. The highs are high but generally it's too corny to enjoy.

Fuck yeah. My albums to this point have been good but somewhat down the middle for "stuff music journalists like" This is one of the ultimate loose tight albums. The band is so tight they can just be loose and let it hang.

Great album. King of birds is a definitional filler track but otherwise it rocks.

This is music for chain smoking nurses to put on when they're pregaming a Disturbed show with their cop husbands. Completely uninspired musically and vocally cloying and phony sounding. These riffs have been written 1000 times by 1000 better bands who decided to throw them out because they were tired before they even became a song.
