Elephant by The White Stripes
Apr 02 2026

A couple songs I knew and enjoyed. A couple other songs that I hadn't heard before, but I thought were good. Several songs that reminded me of Jimi Hendrix - I acknowledge the artistry, but it's just not my thing.

Apr 03 2026

Speakerboxxx was actually pretty good. Not my genre, but I liked it. The Love Below was tiresome - a 14 year old bragging about all the pussy he gets. I couldn't finish.

Apr 07 2026

Loved it. Not sure I could listen to this very often.

Apr 08 2026

Decided 3/5 was fair. I knew and liked most of the songs. Then I fucking rocked out in my car to Freebird. Now 4/5.

Beggars Banquet by The Rolling Stones
Apr 09 2026

Good overall. A couple hypnotically slow ones though.

Harvest by Neil Young
Apr 14 2026

When I think of Neil Young, these are the songs I hear.

Bookends by Simon & Garfunkel
Apr 15 2026

Honestly I was a little disappointed.

16 Lovers Lane by The Go-Betweens
Apr 16 2026

Very 80s - 90s! Quite catchy.

Oh hell yeah!

Moondance by Van Morrison
Apr 21 2026

Beautiful Album.

Apr 23 2026

Interesting mix. Some songs were amazing, Cash totally reinvented them with his passion. Others were almost cringy.

Guitar Town by Steve Earle
Apr 24 2026

I like some country music. I really do. Lyle Lovett and Willie Nelson are among my favorite songwriters/performers. What I don't like is the nasally, whiny twang of some country music vocals. Guitar Town is all about the nasally, whiny twang. I think there some decent music hiding behind these vocals. Also, I try to reserve 1/5 for music so annoying that I can't even finish it. I was able to make it all the way through Guitar Town.

Catch A Fire by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Apr 27 2026

I think I've heard the songs from Legend so many times that I tend to view them as worn-out and cliched. Which isn't a problem with the songs or Bob Marley in general, it's a problem with me! Hearing these different songs - or in a couple cases - alternate versions of songs I hear regularly, was a refreshing change. I enjoyed every song and appreciate the artistry that went into making it.

Kid A by Radiohead
Apr 28 2026

I found it tedious. Avant-garde electronic music that didn't seem to really go anywhere. I guess some passages were haunting and ethereal - but they just kept going on and on.

2112 by Rush
Apr 29 2026

t was like they were aiming for The Who's Tommy, but hit Spinal Tap's Stonehenge instead. I couldn't really understand the lyrics, so the story-line went over my head. The rest of the album was more traditional, but I find those high-pitched vocal really grating.
