Lots of poppie love songs!

Sonically pleasing and complex arrangements for seemingly simple songs.

Great album. Already heard it many times, downloaded and passed down from my pops.

Very cool recommendation. Odd waves of bass but it’s fine. After album finished, Spotify sent me down a rabbit hole of old rock blues: Bo Diddley, Howlin’ Wolf, Junior Wells, Elmore James, Champion Jack Dupree, etc. Woo! Beautiful.

Pleasantly surprised with this one. Thought it would be a singer/songwriter vocal focused, but no! Multiple instruments! First track or so, almost Dave Matthews-like. I love the sound of this guy's guitar. His vocals as well. "Last Goodbye" - Radiohead vibes. "Lilac Wine" - great sounding guitar strumming. And a sustained Freddy Mercury voice. "So Real" - the birth of Grizzly Bear? "Dream Brother" - Alice In Chains inspired. This album was all over the place, and I loved it. Subjective review: 4.5 star

Just a fantastic album with a handful of his hits

Classic album but not really for me. I’m sure there are deeper motifs embedded in the lyrics and background vocals. Lots of chorus effects.

Hmm…ok. Maybe not quite in the mood for this one. Great as a sci-fi soundtrack while reading a pulpy comic book or sci-fi novel. Or just chilling and spacing out. Pioneering, especially now knowing this was made in the 70’s. Will revisit in the right moment.

Eh pretty good. Opens with a banger, pretty much all I recall. Listened at work so wasn’t really present/focused listening. Should re-listen to this in the future more intentionally at home.

The Spotify lossless version of this sounds excellent on home stereo speakers. Only got through vol 1. This is good music to have on the background but also intentional listening to the honest and passionate vocals.

“Yes sir, no sir” reminds me of SOAD “Prison song.” Also Hendrix vibes. “Brainwashed” Beatles pop

Started out beautiful and weird as usual. Then instrumental in later tracks. Beautiful album and the cover doesn’t do it justice for what it is.

Grundgy guitars, raw sounding vocals. First few tracks sort of blend together in style. Really like the rawness and spaciousness of “Fountain.”

“In Dust We Trust” slams. “Chico’s Groove” is great. Lovely, actually. “Alive Alone” is sad and groovy and just cool. A very solid chem bros album

Bittersweet symphony… next song that stood out was “catching the butterfly.” Tracks leading up to that unnoticeable. Maybe it’s the more downtempo-ness and grooviness of it. “Space in time” is great. Great 90’s chord sequence. “Weeping Willow” another good down, sad track. Nice 90’s chunky and mellow fender strat guitars with wah pedals. “Lucky man” girl next door. “Come on” is a nice ending…or is it??

So good. A continuation of their classic metal albums

“Mother’s Daughter” and “Hope You’re Feeling Better” rock. The latter especially. Great progressive rock album. I will be listening to more Santana. Listen using good quality audio to hear Santana’s guitar picking and also the other instrument separation. Really well recorded. Listened via Spotify lossless or FLAC if physical copies not available.

This was a surprise. I didn’t know I needed to hear this album at this moment in time. What a phenomenal artist, a great singer songwriter, and what a great pop/hip hop album. Disc 2 continues the great piece of work, albeit a little wackier with “Welcome” and “Candyman.” Then it gets bluesier, and noir-like, with “I Got Trouble” and “Mercy on Me.” The second half may be more beautiful than the first.

Fun, quirky, and thoughtful. Really like the odd songs about rich people. Great background music for weird days at work in an office.

Damn she can wail. Lovely album with so much passion. Her voice has so much power, feeling and passion. Cannot be described, you must hear it!

I can hear a lot of the guitar influences in the 90’s bands I like e.g. smashing pumpkins, offspring, maybe blink. Not a huge fan of the synthesized chorus voice harmonies…seems too digitized or…something. Really like the guitars and seem to be really good recording quality. 2.5 stars

All songs sound the same. There was probably one song that I really felt rocked.

Blowin’ in the Wind, maybe one of the best American songs ever written. Second track in, I already know I’m rating this at least 4 stars.
