1001 Albums Summary

Im new into rock so i might change my opinion after i get into this genre and understand it fully. But as for now i think for me every track felt the same, everything is up tempo except the last track and i struggle to find any memorable moment out of it except the crazy ass guitar riffs. Those stand out to me the whole project, the way the guitar riffs come in at the end of the 1st track highway to hell and on the track walk all over you (3:30 mark) is really crazy. It's just that I can't separate out other songs of this album from one another because it's kinda monotonous (as of now). Night prowler is another track i find interesting because unlike the other tracks, it has a slow tempo and a good slower vibe. 3 stars cuz i ended up saving two songs out of the album.

First off its a very conceptual album, leaning heavily on suicide, alienation, blasphemy, sex and seeing the world as a misanthropist. The lyrics have various metaphors and are deeply disturbing. Aside from all that the slow pacing of the album, the melancholic tone and the guitar riffs really set the tone of this album and they do sound great. The vocalist does a great job showcasing emotions in different tracks. So overall a 4 star because i need to listen to it again to understand the theme a bit more but it's a pretty solid alt rock album.

I need to re listen, its catchy and is way ahead of its time because the sounds and instrumentals are really rich and distinguished. I'm just getting my ears warmed up for this kind of upbeat and funky music or more particularly a soul r&b album. This album ain't at all bad, i dig this album heavy. Janelle sings like an angel and fits on the beats perfectly. Apart from that, the whole dystopian and sci-fi theme is pretty cool as well. Deserves more re-listens for sure!
