Pink Moon is a testament to what can be done with some instrumentals, a violently depressing vocal performance and some solid symbolism.
In some ways this album would be better with more instrumentation but songs like Parasite stand alone as near perfect tracks by utilising the guitar to create such a somber tone.
Raw power is of its time with a slick guitar peppering every song and a pop-rock sound throughout. I didn't particularly feel moved by any song so it's difficult for me to give it a good rating as it overall sounded pretty generic.

Least Fav: Penetration
This album was an interesting experience with some fantastic production and fabulous synths. However, I often found myself wishing there was a bit more meat on the proverbial bone.
Fav Song: Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots 2
Least fav: Are you a hypnotist
Wow! This album absolutely shoots out of a gun and has such an amazing sound. At the start I was thinking this would be a definite 5/5 but near the end I think it got a bit less amazing. Wish i could do 4.5.
I have almost never listened to the blues but this album has completely changed my mind. So many good songs and such a good vibe but I find that sometimes the endless refrain can become a little mind-numbing.
Fav Song: The Blue Had A Baby And It's named Rock and Roll
Least fav: Little Girl
Lynyrd Skynyrd must have been like a falling star back when this was released because there are some good songs on here. Free Bird is probably one of the greatest songs of all time and if any of the other songs on here were even close to its level I'd be willing to give it a five stars but I just can't. The songs are good and free bird alone is enough for four stars but I would've just like a lot more of that free bird energy throughout some pretty slow songs.
Fav Song: Free Bird (+++)
Least Fave: Gimme Three Steps
This album is pretty long and to me it seems needlessly so. There are some really good songs out here - and I say this despite not liking the genre that much - but they get muddied by some frankly bland ones. I wish that this album was more streamlined leaving only the great songs which I think could push it into that 4 or even 5 star range.
Fav Song: Layla (HM: Anyday)
Least Fav: Nobody Knows When You're Down and Out
Black Sabbath is truly an album that inspired a generation but to me I just can't hear it anymore. Don't get me wrong it is good and certain songs let me know why it was so popular but I can't really get behind it.
Fav Song: Warning or The Wizard
Least Fav: Sleeping Village
Agates Byrjun is a very strange album and I think that is what makes it good. There are some parts of this album that are low while there are others that scream to the highest mountains. I'm torn on this album because I know it is good but I just don't know if it's for me.
Fav song: Staralfur
Least fav: Avalon
This album is definitely not my favourite. While listening to it much of it sounded like it was an undertale fan band with some intermission songs that wouldn't have sounded out of place. I just found it to be very bland.
Fav song: Hudson Line
Least Fav: I collect coins
This album has a classic, American rock sound that really works in its favour sometimes but leads to monotony at other times. The first song is fantastic and is an excellent lead into the album but after than I found myself wanting more all the way up until the last song. The instrumentation remains pretty stagnant and when they do change it up I didn't really like that much. That being said, if rock is your jam, you'll definitely like this more than me.
Initially I didn’t like this album but the more i listened to it the more I was drawn in! She has such a soothing voice and the slow instrumentals created a real sense of intimacy that I couldn’t but appreciate. It’s a little too slow to be a 5 for me but this is definitely a fantastic album
Fav Song: Straight lines (hm: undertow)
Least fav: Cracking
Start of the album not great. End of 1st disc is great! Especially Another Brick pt 3 into goodbye cruel world. Another brick Pt 2 sucks.
Comfortably numb is great. In the flesh is very on the nose but potent.
The Wall by Pink Floyd is certainly a potent album. It's also certainly a good album. But I'm not sure if it's a great album. For one this album is long, really long and there are many songs on there that I don't think sound good or serve the narrative. That being said there are certain songs on here that truly stand the test of time and ring even more true for our modern society than it did for the one Pink Floyd lived in. I would've like more of those and less of the rest
Fav Songs: Comfortably Numb (HM: Another Brick Pt. 3 into goodbye cruel world.
Least Fav: Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 2
Californication is a great rock album with a ton of very memorable songs. That being said I just don't think a lot of them live up to a 5 star album. Maybe the Red Hot Chilli Peppers sound just isn't my jam but I think that it is because some songs really are fantastic. Wish I could do 4.5.
Fav song: Otherwise
Least Fav: I Like Dirt (but its still pretty good)
The B-52's B-52 is a fantastic album but it's not exactly my style. Each and every song on this album is great and the vocal performance is amazing. Rock lobster is truly the star of the show as a song that has survived in memes and for its own merits but songs like Planet Claire are also highly underrated. That being said I think the songs can be a bit non-unique or monotonous sometimes blending into each other. I would've liked a bit more experimentation.
Fav song: Rock Lobster
Least Fav: 6060-842
This album was a classic 1969 album for me. Low tempo, chilled out and all about love. The vocal performance is awesome but I think it's just a little too slow for me. I also would've liked to hear about something other than love but that is kind of the concept of the whole album so hard to fault it for that.
Fav song: Why did she have to leave me (why did she have to go)
Least fav: N/A
When I first listened to this album I thought it was for sure going to be a two. But when I gave it another listen I found that it had grown on me, especially certain songs became very enjoyable. Maybe in the future I will like this even more.
Fav song: Anchor
Least fav: Venus as a boy
This album is absolutely fire but it didn't blow me off my feet. This is a perfect 4.5 out of 5 album. There are so many good songs like Sit Down. Stand up, Punch Up at The Wedding and Myxomatosis (which gets bonus points because it's a med school reference). That being said I think some songs are a bit bland, especially considering I have listened to some other Radiohead that is really, really good. Not quite my first five, but a damn good album.
Fav song: Sit Down. Stand up (but man Punch Up at The Wedding is coated)
Least Fav: N/A
