- Timeless sound
- This guy is a poet
- Music feels like a perfect day with the sun shining
- The sound took me away to peaceful locations
- Beautiful guitar playing, piano, bass, drums, violin, etc. it's all great
- Started beautifully and ended on a high note with call backs to the beginning to wrap it all up nicely
- Grateful to listen to this album
- Fun lyrics
- Lou's delivery feels sarcastic at times and kinda deadpan
- David Bowie helped produce it and does backing vocals on a few tracks I believe, as well as plays guitar. He adds a lot to the sound. A lot of good.
- This album honestly feels like it could have came out yesterday.
- Lou's style definitely influenced indie rock/alt rock and all that
- It's a fun album I plan on revisiting. Grateful to have listened to it.
- Stevie is such a genius
- Apparently he played every instrument on this album just about
- The lyrics, the sound, and the feeling he creates had me creating my own visions in my mind. As corny as that sounds.
- I absolutely loved "Living for the City" it tells a great story of 1970s america and the current issues at the time. I had a movie playing in my head throughout the duration of the song.
- I think for what it is, this album is a 10/10
- Another grateful listen
- The production is great
- Energy is on point
- Lyrics are still relevant to today's issues
- New hip-hop is mostly garbage now, this was like a proper reset to my rap taste.
- The tracks "She watch channel zero?!" and "Black steel in the hour of Chaos" are a couple of standouts for me. Those were a lot of fun.
- This is real artistic expression that I think a lot of the media at the time didn't comprehend. It was new, it was different, and it was real. Some weren't ready for it, but for those that embraced it they were rewarded with awesome music.
- Another grateful listen.
- Most of this album is some just straight up rock & roll and it's awesome
- There's some softer songs and even some reggae, which I was not expecting. It was a nice surprise for sure.
- I loved the track "Mystery Dance" it's literally a minute and a half of high energy rock. It's badass.
- "I'm not angry" is another standout song. Paints the picture of a cheating girlfriend with awesome guitar riffs and backing vocals whispering "ANGRY". It's super catchy and I was singing along before the end.
- Never paid much attention to Elvis Costello before. I'm grateful for this hearing this album, it definitely surprised me and I had a good time WAITING FOR THE END OF THE WORLD.
- This is peak Rage.
- The whole album hits hard, it's got an attitude to it. Starting off strong with Bombtrack, that one goes crazy.
- Deep heavy grooves, the vocals hit hard. Drummer is killing it.
- The riffs are iconic, Tom Morello laid down some riffs on this album that as a guitar player, I still play them quite often. They always bring out the stank face iykyk.
- Know your enemy is one of my favorites, just got a fun sound to it. The whole band was cooking.
- Production throughout the whole album is top notch.
- Hard to believe this album is over 30 years old. I grew up listening to this stuff and it is still good to this day.
- ITS JUST ANOTHER BOMBTRACK
- Completely different from the other albums I've gotten so far. Not a bad thing at all. Idk what I was expecting but it wasn't this.
- She's got a great voice, also some very interesting lyrics. She's creative.
- Joni paints these pictures in her songs that it almost feels like you're out on a walk with her, or sitting in the backseat of a car as she describes things she sees out the window.
- She puts a lot into her music and it's quite apparent. She seems very personal with her words, some lyrics had me doing a double take *cough* "he picks up my scent on his fingers"
- This is pretty far from my usual taste in music so I'll admit it was a chore for me to get through SOME of these songs. They made me quite drowsy. But that's just me.
- I really like the tracks "Amelia" which is about Amelia Earhart funnily enough, and "Song for Sharon" which is literally a letter to her friend Sharon, where she is talking about love problems and her dreams for future relationships. The lyrics were interesting to follow along to.
- This is a memorable album for sure and I'm grateful to have heard it. It gave me an appreciation for this style of music and for Joni's writing style.
The 70s really had some of the most incredible songwriting, almost as if it was a competition to see who's more clever. Anyway, it resulted in some good music.
