Madman Across The Water by Elton John
Jun 05 2026

Can anyone hear Tiny Dancer and not picture that bus scene in Almost Famous? You are home... I don't think I have ever listened to this entire album, but certainly some well known songs. Whole album is pretty solid Elton at his prime.

Let's Get It On by Marvin Gaye
Jun 08 2026

Man, It's Marvin Gaye, ya know? Not a huge fan of the style, but it certainly doesn't suck. And he is one of the best.

The Nightfly by Donald Fagen
Jun 09 2026

Great stuff. Still prefer Steely Dan, though

Rage Against The Machine by Rage Against The Machine
Jun 10 2026

I like the band, hate the rapping. So Audioslave for the win. skipping this one

Out Of The Blue by Electric Light Orchestra
Jun 12 2026

I have loved ELO since I was a pre-teen. Had the double LP and always listened to the entire thing. It's been decades since I have given it a full listen. I forgot how awesome the whole thing is.

Rain Dogs by Tom Waits
Jun 15 2026

I think I like Bone Machine slighly better, but this is a fantastic album. Tom Waits is very unique, no doubt

Ragged Glory by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Jun 16 2026

I have loved Neil Young as long as I can remember. Even Trans and The Shocking Pinks. Yet I somehow have never heard this album. I know most of the songs from the live album Weld. If you want to make the argument Neil is the godfather of grunge, this album would be a good choice to support that. Neil with Crazy Horse is some seriously great noise.

16 Lovers Lane by The Go-Betweens
Jun 29 2026

Such an 80s album. I listened to a lot of this stuff back then but missed these guys. I would have liked it then. So rating it as my 16 year old self.

Highly Evolved by The Vines
Jul 03 2026

Not really my jam. But seems to be a well produced album
