The Doors by The Doors
Jun 17 2026

An interesting album. Definitely abstract. With the benefit of coming to this in 2026, it feels almost stereotypically 60s, but I guess that is because it helped define that sound. On the first listen it didn't do much for me, but I enjoyed much it better on the second time a round. I think it may certainly be a grower. I liked it more than baseline, but I'm not jumping to listen to it again immediately. 3/5

Disraeli Gears by Cream
Jun 18 2026

A good album. Not one I think I would have chosen to listen to necessarily. Unlike the Doors album, this is much more nuanced. If there were half marks I would rate it 3.5 stars, but due to the constraints I will have to mark it as a 3, as I don't believe it to be a 4.

Fulfillingness' First Finale by Stevie Wonder
Jun 19 2026

Really cool album. Quintessential Stevie Wonder, yet I don't think I had heard any of these before. Enjoyed the album a lot. Strong messages within the songs, and with historical context it gives it a lot of power. 4/5

Blue Lines by Massive Attack
Jun 22 2026

I enjoyed this album. It's not something I would of organically listened to. There's nothing on here that I am rushing back to listen to, but equally I didn't dislike any of them. In an ideal world I would of ranked 3.5/5

Aftermath by The Rolling Stones
Jun 23 2026

My least favourite of the albums so far. I'm not a real fan of the early Rolling Stones and this album in particular didn't do anything for me. I'm sure it is a true classic for some, but for me, I'll be avoiding it.

Definitely Maybe by Oasis
Jun 24 2026

A good album. Not the finest of Oasis but quintessentially them. 4/5

Grievous Angel by Gram Parsons
Jun 25 2026

A nice album. Grows on you. A very easy listen but nothing too memorable that makes you want to come back. Given it a 4, because it would of been about a 3.7 to me.

Parsley, Sage, Rosemary And Thyme by Simon & Garfunkel
Jun 26 2026

A very calm album, but is certainly juxtaposed by the lyrics of the final song "7'Oclock news". I didn't dislike any of the album, but similarly I didn't love any of it. I'm unlikely to come back. If the ranking system allowed finer detail I would of gone for something like 3.6, and thus I'm forced to choose 4/5.

Jun 30 2026

Interesting album. Was a nice change to the other music I've had. I really liked the type of music, just not specifically the songs on this album, nothing grabbed me. As such I've decided to go for 3/5, but it has spurred me on to look more into this world of Jazz.

Power In Numbers by Jurassic 5
Jul 01 2026

Not really my type of music. Most likely won't listen to again. 2/5 stars.

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Jul 14 2026

Really cool album. A calm but funky vibe to it. I really enjoyed listening to it. This one was really difficult to score, I would of scored around the 4.5 mark, leaving a up or down dilemma. As such, 4 did not feel fair, but 5 felt overly praised. Anyway under the rules of mathematics I rounded up the .5 to my first 5*.

The Soft Bulletin by The Flaming Lips
Jul 15 2026

Was interesting. At risk of appearing elitist or undermining the lyrics appeared to be very simple. Parts I enjoyed and others I did not like. Decided to go down the middle with a 3/5.

Music by Madonna
Jul 16 2026

Did not enjoy at all. Some of the worst music I've had so far. It's not offensive but it's not my cup of tea at all.

Raw Like Sushi by Neneh Cherry
Jul 17 2026

Not my type of music at all. Couldn't really make it though.
