Let's Stay Together by Al Green
Jun 23 2026

Nice and funky, great music to dance in the kitchen to.

Back To Black by Amy Winehouse
Jun 24 2026

Smoky, wine-soaked backdoor deals, deal the cards and turn down the lights. And turn up this fuckery.

Red Headed Stranger by Willie Nelson
Jun 26 2026

Short and sweet. I like all the piano. Nice music to do a puzzle to.

Queen Of Denmark by John Grant
Jun 28 2026

Really enjoyed all the strings-based instrumentals, especially the cello solos. Lyrics of a musically developed Kimya Dawson.

Surfer Rosa by Pixies
Jun 30 2026

I really liked the album cover, so I wanted to like this album. I usually enjoy alternative rock, but this felt choppy and raw in a decidedly negative way. Most of all, I disliked the voice of the male lead singer, though I did enjoy the occasional female vocals and even liked a few songs. Overall, this was not a great album for me.

Songs The Lord Taught Us by The Cramps
Jul 01 2026

Listened to this right after Pixies' Surfer Rosa, not too into the raw and ugly rock of this era. Some songs weren't bad, but the album is overall hard to listen to, the lyrics are mediocre, and the vibe is altogether too fast-paced in-your-face.

The Gilded Palace Of Sin by The Flying Burrito Brothers
Jul 03 2026

Absolutely perfect background music, well-stitched and cohesive portrait of an album.

The White Album by Beatles
Jul 04 2026

Not bad, but not great either. A lot of skippable nonsense, with a few solid songs. My first Beatles album, and I had extreme fatigue by the time I got to Disc 2. I'm no stranger to long albums or songs, but they need to be worth it, and this album was most certainly not.
