1001 Albums Summary

Some of the greatest music I've ever listened to in my damn life. Growing up, my ears picked up some of their songs over the years. Ace of Spades, most prominently, of course. When I pressed play, it started with that and I thought huh, it starts at the peak of the energy. It'll settle down eventually, have some fluctuations, whatever. I was damn near in cardiac arrest for almost two hours. Unbelievable. 6/5. 6/5

I don't understand why this album exists.

Miles Davis is undeniable, but I'd rather kill myself than listen to 105 minutes of confused jazz improvisation experiments. This is bad. I do love how the reviews skew toward the high end because people seem to feel bad about giving such a legendary musician a low rating. Bitches Brew exists for a reason, it serves a purpose, sure. And I'm glad I got to listen to it. It remains unbearable.
