1001 Albums Summary

You are now about to witness the strength of street knowledge - and by god did we. Fun, explicit and screams youth.

One of my all time favorite bands and a great album with some iconic songs. Houses of the Holy means something to me!!!! And Bron-Yr-Aur, just wow. Gorgeous

Excellent beats, hypnotic flow and the wordplay is incredibly rewarding as a listener.

Not a fan really. I appreciate it for it's place in music history and the inspiration Costello draws from but not something I would choose to listen to.

Has one of the best intro songs to an album if not one of the best songs of all time at the top - Tiny Dancer. Beyond that, I appreciate John's stylings but this album peaks at the beginning for me.

I was genuinely gobsmacked by this album, thinking I was going to hear the 90s REM I grew up with on the radio. This was so beyond my expectations and felt fresh and new and light even today. I absolutely loved the first half of this record and added a number of songs to my library, including Pilgrimage, Moral Kiosk and Catapult.

Absolutely love The Smiths, this had no contest from me. There is a Light is a song for the ages, and I'll always love Bigmouth and Some Girls.

I don't really get Nick Cave's vibe but I respect the energy. Not really my thing tho
