1001 Albums Summary

Not sure if it's my cup of tea. Def expected something diff having heard OK Computer a few weeks ago. Just did some light reading about how Yorke was burnt out/writers block/disillusioned with rock/etc when making this so may need to do another listen with that in mind. Same vein: going to have to revisit when I'm sadder or in more of a depressed mood - feel like it's got another level I didn't tap into.

First experience with The Smiths. Probably the last. I'd say I was relatively attentive during the listen and it kinda sounded like one long song/vibe. Can't say I'm into Morrissey's sound.

Came into it already being very fond of The Band, albeit at a very surface level of their discography. This convinced me to take a deeper dive.

This was a fun listen. Never had given Bruce a listen beyond the hits, and this is def cooler than I had expected. The piano use really stuck out to me.

This one wasn't on spotify so I'm doing a disjointed youtube listen. Man, this was fun. The funk was felt. Planning to give Maggot Brain a shot sometime soon.

Listened to this one during a long day of payroll and catchup at work. I loved it. Flew by in a good way. Going to go back to it again.

I'm out on this sort of sound, didn't get through this one. Not for me. Shout out Rob Dydrek tho
