Thriller by Michael Jackson
Jul 29 2026

Incredible, arguably the greatest pop album of all time. He’s the king of pop for a reason. Billie Jean, thriller and beat it get all the shine, but songs like PYT, baby be mine and human nature always pull me back in. Masterpiece.

Blue Lines by Massive Attack
Jul 30 2026

Enjoyable listen, really cool vibe and solid throughout.

Urban Hymns by The Verve
Jul 31 2026

Enjoyed some of it, although at times they sounded like an Oasis tribute band. A few songs stick out as being top quality, but a lot of the albums is forgettable, but not necessarily bad. I probably won’t listen again in full, but some songs might stick in my rotation.

Transformer by Lou Reed
Aug 02 2026

Enjoyed about half of the album, but the rest was a bit forgettable. Good album, but I expected a bit more.

Aug 02 2026

Don’t look back in anger and champagne supernova are on their own good enough to make this album 5 stars, but the rest of the tracklist is so good as well. One of the best 90s rock albums.

The Velvet Underground & Nico by The Velvet Underground
Aug 03 2026

I had really high hopes for this album and while I applaud the experimentation, mostly I found it boring.

Calenture by The Triffids
Aug 06 2026

I admire the ambition, and some songs were great and connected, but it sounds so aggressively 80s and dramatic that I just couldn’t properly enjoy it as much as I would have liked. I might be being generous giving it a three, but I found it solid, although very of its time.

Dog Man Star by Suede
Aug 07 2026

Could have easily been 1 star if a couple of songs didn’t save it. A real mess of an album.

Aug 08 2026

Although I prefer yeezus, kids see ghosts and 808s, this album is still deserving of 5 stars. So grand and lavish, with some of the best songs of all time on it.
